Book Description

During my years from childhood to adulthood, I often wondered why I should believe that Mary gave birth to Jesus while she was a virgin, which indicated that Joseph was not biologically, the father of Jesus. Concluding that it is the New Testament that made the story real, I conducted an in-depth study into the life of Christ Jesus. It seemed Jesus was at an advantage because he was born from a spiritual Father but so was Adam who sinned, which would prove the situation fair. Since that Jesus is the last Adam and Alpha then we who have been born with biological parents serve the purpose of replenishing the earth, which is the mystery in the Word of God. We must adopt to the life and death of Jesus to understand his mystery and it is for such a reason that I have done a self-study. I have studied only the King James Version of the Holy Bible to discover Christian living and was overwhelmed with the misconception of such a life. My many discoveries I kept in perspective by writing and after several pages I decided to share the facts with you all.

The Light of Innocence is from the fact of not knowing, yet I celebrated according to the system I lived in. I am a light because diligently I worked to uncover the mystery and live according to the truth that I discovered. The titles I have chosen, list my progress as I walked in the way of Christ Jesus and since that I am a new beginner that is a converted child of God, my concept on Christian living is true. Part two of this book is the strength of my belief; after discovering the laws of the spirit and situations wherein we must separate from unfaithful Christians, I literally experienced that God never will leave or forsake us. He does this for everyone, except those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit and since his saints are the direct opposite, discovering that, which characterizes a saint was written in this section. I knew then that I had a good relationship with the Son of God.

Part one deals with the basics: Christ Kingdom on the earth. I emphasized that we must understand, grow and sustain our spirit to have a good relationship with our Lord, Jesus. That which is put in place such as eternal life and the house of prayer is to help us sustain our relationship with Jesus and avoid the temptations that may lead us back into the world. A reminder that the world is everyone and that we are dealing with current issues just as the world is, yet the children of God are expected to overcome the world. The Light of Innocence is one way to deal with the current issues.

Last but not least are two articles that are to remind the children of God of their task and that our Lord is hated by many. These articles should make us aware of the people we are up against.

You are a very convincing writer and have a great narrative here. I really enjoyed your approach and outlook to your subject matter. You do a nice job of expressing your ideas and opinions in a way that helps to guide your reader. Your narrative voice is very familiar and friendly. You have a way with words and your writing has an excellent flow to it. It is obvious that you have done a significant amount of planning in preparation in crafting your work. Your book is nicely put together and filled with information I am sure many people will find interesting and thought-provoking. You have a certain fervor for your subject matter because you really speak to your audience. Your book is well written.

From the Author

My book, "The Light of Innocence" is an inspiration that I have revealed to the world. In it are many answers to questions that have puzzled the minds of Christians for many years. I began to write so that I may remember the things I must do to keep my faith, but my commitment has led me to the door that was already opened for me. I am an innovator. My many discoveries however, have not come without oppositions, which are the battles I have fought, and overcome before I completed this book.

My boss is Jesus Christ; observing that only Jesus Christ has lived on earth, and did not sin then only he has the rights to govern me. My faith I know is at least the size of a mustard seed because mountains I have removed to live the life that I have chosen. I do not strive to be the best because the best is Almighty God however, the mercy of God has made me whole, and so I am pleased to be exalted by Jesus Christ.

All the materials in this book are my material, but this publishing company, Outskirts Press has done an excellent job in publishing it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep this book by your Bible December 11, 2010
By Solana
Format:Paperback
After reading this book I felt like I had a greater understanding about the Bible's teachings. At the risk of sounding corny I feel like a better Christian too. Carl Marshall's writing is clear, concise and honest. The writing didn't come off as 'preachy,' which is impressive considering the subject.

I'm most impressed by the author himself. At the beginning of his book Marshall admits that he is a self taught student of the Bible. Despite (or perhaps because of) having no formal training it's clear that this is definitely one teacher who 'gets it'.

Carl Marshall has come up with an excellent book that guides you through the Christian way of life by helping us better understand the Bible itself. His tone is friendly, clear and honest and explains his point without preaching it. I am sure anyone who reads this book will find himself getting closer towards god and better understand the relationship with him. Every reader whether Christian or not, must have a copy in his collection!

5.0 out of 5 stars A straightforward and focused reading of the bible December 11, 2010
Format:Paperback
A clear and concise manual for living life as Christian, with direct references from the Bible and revelations that come from His Written Word. Unlike many "theology" experts who try to interpret or claim understanding of the Bible and then apply their worldly rationality or consciousness to it, The Light of Innocence is uncompromising in its dedication to God's Word and God's Word only. As much as possible, it focuses purely on the Bible, drawing examples from the life of Jesus Christ and applying them directly to understanding how to deal with the crasser concerns of the daily material world and how to battle the temptations of the evil one. Highly recommended for any devout Christian.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep it Real December 10, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
Many of us today shrink away from churches, finding fault with those who identify themselves as Christians, or feeling competition or hypocrisy from our brothers. I believe Carl Marshall can relate to these things himself, but has taken responsibility for his own spiritual growth- as we all should. No man can give this gift to you, you must seek it out.

For those seekers, Carl Marshall transparently shares his personal journey with us, from the first seedlings of faith that grew in him as he grew up in Jamaica. He simplifies and gives reason to the things we are taught to believe. I appreciate that he makes it easy and backs up his words with biblical references fully written out. The power of prayer and purpose of baptism are emphasized.

Carl Marshall's open-hearted work will help you to make your faith your own; No longer believing because you "should" or you were told to, or because your family does, or because of any church traditions. It becomes something real in your life; deeper than "going through the motions." Faith is gained through the Word of God. Carl Marshall gives understanding. As you continue to fill your heart with the Word of God, you will find your thoughts and your life transforming.

5.0 out of 5 stars MUST BUY!! December 10, 2010
Format:Paperback
The author of this novel is more than insightful about the word of God; he is truly inspiring as an individual and as a writer. The Light of Innocence helps us understand the true meaning of the Word of God. The routine of attending church every Sunday and not truly connecting to Him can cause us to forget what the scripture really means; however, this read will remind you all over again of our Savoir. . It is beyond doubt a wonderful book for anytime of the year!

In this day and age, it is easy to forget that Christianity isn't about our church, our rituals and our pastor's interpretation of God's Word. It is about believing in Jesus Christ and obeying the Word of God. Carl Marshall reminds us that only by doing this can we be assured of the salvation that Jesus has promised us. This is a must read for anyone who yearns for greater spiritual growth and is willing to look inside himself to find it.

More About the Author

I grew up in a respected community in Jamaica, West Indies where I attended church regularly on Sunday mornings. Going to church was like a hobby, one that I gained some knowledge on Christian's behaviour, and though I started at a young age, it was my will to attend church. However, both my parents were disciplined to grow up a child like me. My mom however, God rest her soul, was the parent that emphasized the fact that I should pray before bedtime, and before the days begin. This is a tradition that I have continued to the present time. Now that my wisdom has increased, I am grateful to Almighty God, because I have been led by him, from then to the present to write this book for the world to read.

Growing up in Jamaica, I idled out my high school years, but was fortunate to migrate to Canada within a year after my graduation. My schooling years in Canada have not been much of a success either, but I have never strayed away from God's will. After I watched and listened to the many faces and voices that have preached and taught the gospel of Christ Jesus, I disciplined myself to begin a self-study of the Holy Bible (KJV). It was about the year nineteen ninety-seven or ninety-eight that I started such a study of the Holy Bible, which resulted in my book, The Light of Innocence.
