5.0 out of 5 stars Social Media Mastery at Your Fingertips! December 25, 2011
Format:Paperback
As a business owner who depends on social media to promote my books, I don't have the time not inclination to read any of these so called get rich quick through social media schemes. This is not that!

Brian Carter walks you through methods and strategies behind using Facebook to help drive customer interest and ultimately generate revenue via everyone's favorite social meeting place on the web.

The best part of the book - for me at least - was the section on how to turn FaceLookers into FaceBuyers. Carter doesn't just tell what doesn't work - he tells you what works based on real-world experience. I'm going to be putting these suggestions and methodologies to work in my campaigns immediately. They are solid and workable techniques.

If you are looking for a book that can help you engage your potential customers where they are most comfortable and ready to hear your message - The Like Economy is a fountain of information and examples to get you where you want to be in the social media world!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly, A Must Read Facebook Training Manual January 12, 2012
By Ahmad
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
As a devout follower of Brian Carter's Fanreach Group, I have been "in school", learning the Facebook Platform for about two years - almost from the group's inception. My experience has been educational, and personally rewarding. The group has been one of the best associations I have been involved in during my professional life.

Brian's new book, "The Like Economy" is not only a review. It is also an update of all the teaching, all the experiences of group members, all the "Facebook" that one would need to truly understand the platform.

I would consider it a must read for anyone seriously considering doing business on Facebook. I'm in my second reading - even as I write this review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Good, Practical Advice with Nice Writing Style March 30, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
I have purchased and / or read several books on how to take advantage of maximizing your investment potential or returns on Facebook, even spending a couple of hundred bucks following some of the advice I have read. After reading this book, I implemented some of the strategies in two Facebook marketing campaigns and I am pleased.

One thing that I got out of the book is its more than just doing something on FB, but what are you doing in your other activities (emails, web pages, etc.) to increase your FB presence. No matter if you think it is a good or bad thing, the reality is if you are a business you need to have a FB presence. This book isn't the end all to be all books about the topic, but there is an engaging writing style most people should be able to follow - you don't feel as if a techie is talking down to you or making it overly simplistic.

Similar to other books like this one, if you have used the FB advertising platform before, some of this will be familiar to you but you will also learn a few new tips and tricks. If you're looking for some new ideas, I'd recommend giving this one a try.
