I really enjoy these short stories from Mark Teppo. They are wonderful vignettes about the Shield Brethren and their impact on this alternate history. Certainly worth $2 if you enjoy the Mongoliad Series.

Fun to continue along w/ the characters we've met in other books; as well written as they are, though there isn't as much action.

Gives us some back story on Ferontanus and Rutger and serves us a very interesting lady personage.
Was she just an agent of Richard's queen. Richard does not come over as such a great hero type here.

A fun and creative short story about King Richard's scheme to free himself from the Holy Roman Emperor's prison by leading those trying to exploit him into a trap of his own. The young Feronantus is the major character, though Robin of Locksley puts in a surprise appearance.

Good read. Alloftheshort stories in the series delve deeper into individual characters, and this makes the main story even more enjoyable!

I was first exposed to this through the Kickstarter for Clang. Since then I've been buying each story in this series and loving them all. Heh, it doesn't hurt that I was told that I was named after Richard I.
