I purchased this set for my daughter's 7th birthday as she out grew the earlier level parsha books. It arrived promptly and we have been enjoying it ever since! It has a lot of details to cover and is very educational for both children and adults. It is also punctuated with stories of sages and anecdotes and each parsha is followed by questions. We have been enjoying it very much and I also think we retain things better when the whole family gets involved! There is not as many pictures as an earlier childhood book but over all the age is geared toward 8-9 and up. I highly recommend this book to any family who wants to have something to discuss around the shabbos table and include the kids. Since it is geared toward children, it does not cover every single issue. If you want something more detailed than what is covered in these books you should consider Yalkut Me'am Lo'ez (The Torah Anthology) as that is geared for adults and covers every single detail in the parsha.

My kids used it, and now my grandchildren. Everyone loves a good Midrash, and children love a good inspirational story. The Little Midrash Says will work for a child for many years.

I recently added this to my library of book for Jewish children. The stories are beautifully told and have a great question/answer quiz at the end of each one. Really enjoy reading these.

Very Informative: However, it was not appropriate for me. My friend recommended it to me and she loves it and has learned a great deal that she was never taught in Hebrew school.
