Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Although many Christian believers have sought to experience intimately the presence of Jesus in their lives, few have been as blessed as Gausseron in their searches. Gausseron, director of a shelter for homeless men, was visited regularly by Jesus from 1985 to 1991. These notebook entries record her conversations with him about issues ranging from discipleship to death. Many of Jesus' words to Nicole, e.g., "Don't be afraid. I'm at the helm of the boat," echo the Gospels, and many of his statements, e.g., "Make room for me," issued direct challenges to Gausseron's faithfulness. Likely to find an audience among those fascinated with accounts of the miraculous, this book is recommended for most public libraries.

Nicole is a normal non-religous woman who loves Jesus Christ. She speaks to Him, expects to hear back, and she does. Her impressions on hearing from God stay in line with Biblical truth and her portrayal of Jesus Christ not only as alive but also very real and that He is interested in daily affairs, made me want to speak to Him more often.

I fell in love with this book when it was first given to me in 1995. It is a beautifully written and extremely moving account of "visitations" the author had from who she says is Jesus. No matter who the source, the wisdom from the visitations is incontrovertible and meaningful. Highly recommended.

For several years, this was my favorite book. Although raised Christian, I am a meditator-talk-to-God person, and definitely not a bible-type. Organized religion has given me some of my deepest wounds, yet this book resonated with me in very personal ways. Because I've had my own powerful God-experiences, i believe every word of Nicole Gassauron's journal. But what can i say? If you are at all attracted to this book, know that it has something for you. God "seeds" our minds with ideas and attractions to new ideas, and packages them into the form we need to receive them. Jesus is no longer my teacher, but I still know him in the other forms that teach me. This is a very beautiful book.

At first glance this book would not appeal to me, but it is not what it seems. Just in the first few pages I received so much insight that I was astounded at the presentation. I have only completed the first 100 pages and am changing the way I look at life! So much to really dig deep into your thinking.
