Beloved illustrator J. P. Miller?s graphic, colorful farm animals seem to jump right off the page?but they aren?t jumping to help the Little Red Hen plant her wheat! Young children will learn a valuable lesson about teamwork from this funny, favorite folktale. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
J. P. Miller (1913-2004) illustrated dozens of Golden Books beginning in the late 1940s, such as The House That Jack Built and Puss in Boots. Some titles, such as The Sweet Smell of Christmas, have never been out-of-print. Before becoming a children’s book illustrator, Miller had worked as an animator during the early years of the Walt Disney Studio. He helped create the now-iconic characters for the films “Pinocchio,” “Fantasia,” and “Dumbo.” --This text refers to the Board book edition.

Quality of the book is ok but the story is great. It teaches children that you have to work to get what you want and laziness doesn't pay off.Published 9 days ago by AS
