Every year my husband reads the traditional "The Night Before..." to our grandchildrn ages 7 to 13, and this year surprised them and their parents with Nusbickel's version. Location - Kirkwood MO. The next day, he was asked to repeat it for a crowd in Shiloh, Illinois and read it over the phone to our son, now in NY. Those of us who are East Coast transplant scored as high as the natives in recognizing his St. Louis references. Anxious to find a RI version!

This was an awesome book to read at Christmastime. When the family was gathered around
the table, I read this out loud and everyone loved it! Especially if you are from St. Louis you
will get a kick out of all the cute things that only a St. Louisian could know! I think I will tuck
one in each gift bag for beautician, massage therapist and dentist next year!!

Gave the book as a Christmas gift to many adult friends and relatives and all loved it and laughed as they read it right away! Some swore to use it as a year long Christmas decoration on their tables or shelves.

This book is more adult oriented. Has such great references that you only get if you lived in St. Louis. Have to have lived here to appreciate. Recommend as a gift to a true St. Louisian.

Although I'm not a native to St. Louis I have lived here for over 40 years so I found this book a very fun read. I guess my son liked it too because he took my copy home with him!

We bought it as a Christmas gift for a great niece. She loved it. Also, for those intrigued by St. Louis, it makes a nice collectible.

It's a bit cheesy, but if you're from St. Louis (south city especially), the references are pretty spot on. We really enjoyed it!
