This book was so helpful that I read it twice. I think Dr. Thebaud offers some of the most effective ways to both understand and cope with stress. As promised, her techniques are simple, easy to implement, and offer immediate relief. If you want to get a handle on any stress in your life, then this is the book for you!

My friend told me she thought I'd benefit from reading this book and loaned it to me. Now I've read it and don't want to give it back! It has a lot of concrete, specific things you can do to manage stress for a better, happier life. While a lot of the information is not completely new, Sandra Thebaud puts it in such a way that it really makes sense and "clicks."

"The Art of Loving Life" by Sandra Thebaud, PhD is a concise, easy-to-read, easy-to-use book. The information is practical and much of it was news to me - the differences between a "stressor" and "stress" for instance. I liked the very doable methods for managing stress too. Thebaud's writing approach is professional yet casual as though she's sitting across from you, helping you go through the process. For instance, she'll suggest you make a list of the stressors in your life and instructs you to put down the book, go do it, and then "welcomes" you back to proceed. It makes it feel less like reading a medical resource and more like having one-on-one help.

This book is amazing! The Art of Loving Life is a handbook for gaining increased levels of inner joy. I have read many books on stress and I love this one because it is concise, yet thorough, and a quick read. The techniques are research-based and easy to do. So often we read about how to reduce stress, but never implement the ideas. Dr. Thebaud provides specific examples for implementing the techniques into your daily life and challenges those who believe they cannot get out of a stressful situation. If you follow the author's prescription, your life will be transformed to one with renewed energy and contentment!
