Customer Reviews

The stories are fun and have a lighthearted tone.
Andrew A. Payson
I'm not even a vegan - I just generally love to eat healthy and try new foods that I don't usually cook - and the recipes are fantastic!
Nicholas L Caruso
And in addition to the great advice, the recipes all look amazing and have clear, easy-to-follow instructions.

Everything I've tried so far has taken me to a culinary nirvana. I tried the popcorn, prepared the cauliflower steaks and the Hearts of Palm Lobster Roll. Perfection.

As a mere quasi-vegan I am in love with The Lusty Vegan! The recipes are super flavorful and intricate while many of them can be prepared in very little time. In other words: perfection. Not to mention the funny and insightful stories!! I'm in love!

There are a lot of careless typos in this book that kind of bug me. So far the recipes I have made are delicious though.

I've been a lifelong vegan and experienced many relationships with vegans and non vegans alike. I wish I had this book years ago when I first started dating! I love the writing style, approachable, informative and full of helpful anecdotes. The photos are well done and the recipes speak for themselves in their uniqueness and deliciousness. I never thought I would find a book that so well encompassed veganism and relationships, and I am so grateful this one has found it's way onto my kitchen shelf! I can't wait to see what these talented chefs and writers come up with next!

Great book for non vegans just looking for a few different ideas/ingredients/methods.
It is funny and personal...a bloggish style of book with lots of stories that go with the recipes. I was vegetarian for many years but now eat meat once a month or so, so as a non-vegan, these recipes are fairly simple and intrigued me enough to go back out a second time today in search of Palm Hearts in Brine and Jack Fruit in brine...only found the latter...so off to Chinatown tomorrow. The writers both have a humorous chatty style and I'm now about to track down their blogs. If you would like to be more creative with your cooking, and or, have Vegans in your social/family circle...get this book!

The recipes are tasty and I love the look and feel of the book. The pretty pictures of food make me want to try making the recipes. I wish other cookbooks had as many pictures. The stories are fun and have a lighthearted tone. I really enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone who is a vegan or even to those who casually eat vegan dishes.

This. Book. Is. Everything. If you're vegan/non-vegan, doesn't matter. I'm in lust! the recipes are wonderful and yummy! The photography is the best! And the stories are perfect! You need to get this book. Even if it's just for looking at really attractive people in their undies. :)

This is a good read if you are a newbie vegan and need help in explaining your new beliefs to others, especially the opposite sex! Recipes look great and indulging but not the absolute healthiest. When you're trying to sway a meat eater toward your way though they will come in handy.
