Editorial Reviews

Review

"An amusing and colorful, yet science-based, look at mankind's obsession with global warming." --Publishers Weekly

"Goreham, the antidote for Gore!" --Doug Giles, Syndicated Radio Host

"It's all here. Replete with great graphics and much humor, Steve Goreham reveals the mountain of failed eco-predictions, rank green hypocrisies and outright fraud that currently masquerades in the guise of modern environmentalism and 'climate science'... The Mad, Mad, Mad World of Climatism is an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand expose of all the key facts behind the dirty 'green' politics of the greatest pseudo-science racket of our age." --Peter Glover, author, journalist, and International Associate Editor, Energy Tribune

"This is the first book written to make you laugh at the absurdity of man-made global warming—that is, until it makes you cry. If 250 pages of facts are too much, you can simply read the amusing cartoons and quotes on every page to fully understand how the world has been misled." --Jay Lehr, PhD, Science Director, The Heartland Institute

"I am extremely impressed with this work, easily the best of its kind I have ever read... an authoritative, well-referenced, but easy-to-understand summary of the climate scare and its dire implications for society and the environment." --Tom Harris, Executive Director, International Climate Science Coalition

"Interesting, accurate, compellingly readable, and directly relevant to one of today's most important political debates. What more needs to be said beyond, 'Buy this fascinating book!'" --Robert Carter, Australian Marine Geologist and Environmental Scientist

"Steve's new book is exactly what I hoped would be published. It makes climate science understandable to everyone. Finally, some common sense, presented in a way to inform, not to deceive." --Burt Rutan, Aerospace Engineer, Innovator, Entrepreneur

"Steve Goreham's insightful and readable analysis of the ideology of Climatism and its socialistic goals is an important addition to public understanding of both the facts and the critical importance of making the right decisions for America." --Harrison H. Schmitt, PhD, Geologist, former Senator and Apollo 17 Astronaut

"Goreham's book is an excellent, readable, comprehensive, and indispensable education for everyone. It should be required reading in all schools, universities, statehouses and Congress." --Edwin Berry, PhD, Physicist and Meteorologist

"Steve Goreham has provided the science, the motivations, and the examples of deceit that surround the man-made warming hypothesis. He leaves no excuse for the public and the policy makers to prolong the misguided effort to spend trillions of dollars trying to reduce the insignificant effect of CO2 on global climate change." --Leighton Steward, Geologist, Author, and Environmentalist

This is a great book that exposes the silly statements and "science" of the Global Warming folks.
John C. Parker, Jr.
The information was very well researched and had some humor sprinkled in to make the information more enjoyable to read.
Michael Bridges
Examine the peer reviewed scientific papers-- where little is seen of the controversies claimed in this book.
K. Doyle

Really great Scientific rebuttal to anthropogenic Climate Change. At the very least it keeps the Climate scientists from making outlandish claims. Science is constantly undermining itself. Fat is bad. Then there is good fat, take statins, dont take statins, and where are we on Cholesterol? Even these Climate Scientists disagree with the Climate scientists of the 70's. If we had legislated on those findings, we'd still be fighting Global Cooling.... Apparently winning.
My one problem is that it is funded by the Heritage Foundation. Combine this book with "the Bottomless Well" for a more complete energy consumption picture. Completely footnoted examples in this book are very interesting.

A great read. Nothing new here, but he's pulled together a lot of threads and woven them into a coherent readable debunking of the United Nations climate scam. This should be on every student's bookshelf as an effective antidote to the brainwashing going on in schools today.

Detailed and yet suitable for technical and non-technical readers. Opens your eyes about a lot of areas in the climate debate that people have been wrong about.

can't say enough about the dedicated research and the immense debunking of the current religion of climatism that the leftist, socialist pagans are spoon-feeding the press and this current administration. What a money pit is the lie of the left. Al Gore is just one of a huge number of bloated boobs on the side of the money-changers....they win and American enterprise loses.

This fine book has an overall rating of only 3 1/2 stars because the minions from the church of ManBearPig have come forth to silence the Deniers. It is interesting to note that a fair number of the book's critics have not bothered to read it, but are content to base their shrill reviews on a cursory skimming. I can picture their apoplectic rage, causing them to leave spittle on their monitor, as Sylvester The Cat might do while pounding out their self righteous critiques.

Now to the book. In the first part, Mr. Goreham introduces the many individuals and organizations that support the idea of AGW. He does this in a respectful way, without any "smirking", as some have suggested. After that, he proceeds to address every aspect of the debate, from A to Z, in a reasoned presentation of facts, that any first rate courtroom attorney would envy. Some have accused the author of not being a scientist. I believe that his MS in Electrical Engineering provide more than ample credentials in science, and its applications in the real world. His ability to understand the nuances of the scientific method in determining causal relationships far greater than that of ALGOR.

Readers may consider reading the last couple of pages of the book before starting at the beginning. These point out that many well meaning adherents of AGM are prompted by the "Precautionary Principle". Unfortunately, in a world with finite resources, and the many worthy needs clamoring for them; we cannot afford to spend untold sums on an unproven calamity.

I have loaned my copy of this very readable book to a friend who is a believer in AGW, with a request that he keep a writing tablet nearby, so that he might jot down any factual errors, or items that he disagrees with.

Excellent analysis of the current situation. It is neccesary to fight against the lies behind the climatic change suject and the manipulation of IPCC, that is very dangerous for the developing countries.

A good enlightening and important review of a current topic, should be read by both sides of the GW issue.

Finally, so real common sense to the senseless and erroneous environmental push to control the climate and save the planet! Mr. Goreham's resources are excellent as he uses many of the scientific studies over the past half century to show that the climate has always changed -- and will always change -- primarily due to Sun spots, ocean churns, the Moon, and the natural production of CO2 (a "trace gas" that makes up only about 19% of the atmosphere), which is necessary to the sustaining of life (plants need the CO2 that we breathe out in order to produce oxygen that we breathe in!). Mr. Goreham does an excellent job of tracing the real reason that world leaders want to create an atmosphere of alarmism among people -- money! There is big money in trading carbon credits and the rich are getting richer off of this scheme. As we know from previous ice ages and global warmings (from looking at ice cores pulled from the Arctic ice caps) there have been times when CO2 was much higher, particularly during global warm periods and when the earth was entirely tropical (prior to the ice caps forming!). I've studied this issue for many years, and am now a big fan of Steve Goreham!! He lays it all out for those with any knowledge of climate science and a modicum of common sense will understand clearly!
