This is in fact a great book. Very insightful and researched. I stand up and applaud the author as this film was part of my life. The book truly captures what it feels to be a Hoosier and what this film and basketball mean to us. Filmed in several locations, I attended Nineveh Elementary School in Nineveh, IN when the film was being filmed there. They even filmed during classes, us kids had to be very silent. That was 25 years ago. The outside, some inside classroom scenes, the hoop outside, and a few others were all filmed on the grounds of the school. Never got to meet any of the stars, but the extras would play with us during recess as they were local people. Soon after us kids were bused to a different school, ours was falling apart. A few years after that, a fire happened at the Nineveh school and totally destroyed it. It has since been demolished. We have this book, the film, and other visual media in which to remember the school. I am glad that I have met the real Milan Miracle team members. Milan has a museum to the team. Our town is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film with a festival October 7th and 8th, 2011. Hoping we can have the author here to sell books and maybe to autograph them as well.

"This book provided many good stories on the making of the movie. Being from Indiana and remembering when it was filmed, I was very excited to see a book about it. I was disappointed, however, because there were no pictures, graphics, or even promotional materials included that related to the movie. It would have been nice to see the actual locations, behind the scenes photos, script pages and notes, production schedules, etc. Those things would have made it a better "making of a movie" book."

I am a HUGE fan of the movie Hoosiers. I grew up in KS and drove from my hometown to Milan just to see the town where the Miracle originated. I have met Bobby Plump and been to the Milan Museum. So, it was a lot of fun to read this book and find out things about the movie. Very easy read and fun to hear about where they filmed and background on the making of the greatest sports movie ever.

Check it out!
