Customer Reviews

There is some vulgar language that is usually bleeped on even South Park but no nudity.
chris
There's some strange interlace artifacting that's very noticeable, and extremely distracting, especially when there's any moderate to fast motion.
David Jerrard
Now this show is the BEST when their air it on TV and still is the best, best DVD quality too better than the other crappy DVD quality out there.

probably one of the greatest comedy shows on telivision. Theres some funny stuff on here. But sadly the closet you get to see to nudity is the [brief]shorts! IT'S A DVD!!!!!! IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE CENSORED!!!!!! There is ten minutes of girls jumping on trampolines in the special features and for a good part of them the juggies are naked. But since they censored it u only see twitching [bodies]...Although all of that aside its a great dvd set

This DVD is CENSORED, CENSORED, CENSORED!
Simply put: The only reason anyone would want a DVD of the Man Show is to have it uncensored and with a lot of episodes. Seeing as there are only 10 episodes in this set (and that they are spread over 3 DVDs for some reason) and that they are CENSORED (Yes, no nipplevision for you!), there is absolutely no reason to buy this at ANY price. I loved the show, I'll admit, but I expect no censorship when I buy a DVD. If they release it uncensored (a costly and time consuming process), I'll maybe buy it (I've seen the full thing, just in case you think I have no idea of what I'm talking about.)
Buy this only if you feel like being disappointed

Before buying you should be aware that these DVDs contain *exactly* what was shown on the air - including blurring out strategic body parts. The shows are extremely funny, and worth owning, but don't expect a "unrated" versions of the shows.

OK, ladies, take it from me, this is what your man wants. This is a show for real guys, even the ones who won't admit to it! For the entertainment dollar, this set has been one of my best purchases! Come on, I mean whats not to love about this? Crude, but honest humor...hilarious views from through the "man's" eye...Juggies! YOu gotta' love this! Take it from me...fellow men, you NEED this! I give this DVD set 5 stars, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! (And, ladies...trust me...your man would love to have this as a little gift!)

From the very first episode to the very last, Jimmie Kimmell and Adam Corolla put out some of the funniest stuff ever on TV. They are so original and really put just the right touch on just about every bit they perform. I couldn't recommend any show higher than this. It's not for prudes, or the people who go for high brow humor. It's dirty, but not so far as to offend anyone but very sensitive people. It's all done in good fun, and there's an equal amount fun poked at men and women...Go buy this and laugh..

Gotta say, I love the Man Show, which is why I got the DVDs. The first season is not as great as the rest, but I thought it would be worth it.
I was disappointed. The video quality is poor and the editing or censorship done for broadcast television, is still there.
The extra clips were nice.

When "The Man Show" first aired on Comedy Central, it attracted the expected wrath of arch-feminists who denounced the show for playing on stereotypes of women, the best example being the scantily-clad Juggy Dance Squad. What it actually does is take every male stereotype in existence -- namely, that men are little more than boozing, belching, flatulating, ogling Neanderthals -- and runs with it. The result is a riotously funny celebration of all things male, hosted by Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel, just two regular guys who like to drink beer and make really bad jokes.
Where else would you see a variety show with recurring segments like "Movies Men Don't Want to See" (a hilarious takeoff on "chick flicks"), "Man-O-Vations" (ridiculous inventions for guys, such as the Carnival Urinal) and "Household Hints from Adult Film Stars" (you figure it out)? Or fake commercials for such outfits as the Rest Assured Disposal Agency, which cleans all the naughty stuff out of your house when you die so your family won't be traumatized?
"The Man Show" is a hysterically funny series quite unlike anything else on TV. May there be girls jumping on trampolines for a long time to come!

This show is dedicated to men, like most of the people reading this. This dvd I must warn you men is censored. I kid you not. There is some vulgar language that is usually bleeped on even South Park but no nudity. Something that you would expect out of a show like this. In the girls jumping on trampolines there was blurred body parts and I was upset, I hope by the time the second one comes out there will be some more vulgarity. Oh yeah unlike most reviews I actually saw this dvd.
