The Man Who Dared a King is a biography of St. John Fisher, who died a martyr under King Henry VIII of England. This short book, written by the imitable Fr. Brennan, who penned so many wonderful books for Catholic children, will introduce young readers to a very brave and holy bishop who died for his faith. Catholic parents often have trouble finding saint books for children who aren't ready for the marvelous Vision book series (now reprinted in part by Ignatius Press), and this book will fill that need. However, the book is so well written that I believe older readers will enjoy it, too.
