About the Author
Dr. Bryce Kaye received his B.A. in psychology from Columbia University and his Ph.D. in psychology and personality from the University of Illinois. His earliest research focused on how the elimination of freedom causes psychological reactance, consistent with his lifelong interest in human boundary interactions. In the course of his career, he has evolved different forms of treatment based on psychophysiology and his experience with thousands of couples.

This book is extremely helpful and insightful... we often find ourselves with a dictionary while reading it but its worth it. We feel like it is opening us both up and we are getting to the deeper roots of the problems and not just fixing things on the top. Dr. Kaye is brilliant in our opinion and we think this book and his techniques have helped us and our relationship a lot. This book is not a simple read and not something that you can read in a couple of days, it is also a book that has to be read together, you both have to participate, we try and read a chapter a week and really work on the challenges. This book is definitely worth it whether you feel your relationship needs a little help or if you feel like its all falling apart. He does not pick sides in the book and instead works on both sides of the relationship. There are so many times you say that's exactly how I feel, and the book helps open the lines of communication, and gives an opening for discussion.
