Beautiful Music,
By Samuel I. Diaz (Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, US) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Martyrdom of a Catastrophist (Audio CD)
I knew about this band by a friend of mine who said if you like melody and heavy music you will love Junius. Eventually I listen to the samples I was blown away and I immediately purchased the album. This is one of those bands who have successfully combined heavy music with melody in a perfect way. One could listen to the The Cure, Bloody Valentine, Joy Division and Deftones influences in this album. I only desire much success to this band who have been brave enough to create there own style in a world of mediocre modern music. Junius I wish nothing but the best for you guys. THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!

If you're a fan of Deftones, A Perfect Circle or The Appleseed Cast, , check this album out...it's pretty good. The concept reminds me of a few prog-metal albums I've heard, as well as David Bowie's "Outside" and Queens of the Stone Age's "Songs For The Deaf," where the tracks are occasionally separated by a spoken narrative.

If you like the likes of The Alan Parson Project or Pink Floyd you will
love Junius. One of the great bands of the future...a must for music lovers!
