I collect basic cookbooks. I like how they encourage me to cook by making things simple. This is no exception, as it's great for beginner cooks. However, the content is practically the same as The Everything College Cookbook by the same author, so just buy one or the other.

This was a going-away present to our college bound
grandson who wanted to try his hand at cooking. All
recipes use common items - very good beginners book

Flipping through this book, I am excited to try these out. They are pretty basic recipes but there is enough of a selection to keep me happy. I definitely do recommend this for the college student who doesn't want to live off of fast food and the cafeteria.
