5.0 out of 5 stars An Ending and New Beginnings... May 18, 2012
In the episode "All's Well that Ends", the fifth season and the series "In Plain Sight" wrap it all up. U.S. Marshall Mary Shannon must contend with the protection of one last WITSEC person, a comely young model adjusting poorly to hiding out in New Mexico. Mary must also deal with the consequences of her long-missing criminal father's intrusion into her life. Finally, Mary must make serious plans for her own future with her baby as her office is threatened with closure. And, her long-time office partner Marshall needs to talks to her about something...

This is perhaps too much burden for one episode. The witsec issue gets resolved in the usual timeline. The issues created by Mary's father are untidy and their resolution is also less than tidy, even if there is a measure of redemption for both father and daughter. Mary comes to terms with her disfunctional family, after a fashion, and there are indications at the end that Mary intends to press on with her life as it is. There is an effort to wrap up the stories of the leading characters.

The least satisfying aspect of the episode, for this reviewer, was Mary's fateful conversation with longtime office partner and virtual soulmate Marshall. Previous episodes this season suggested both Marshal and Mary knew he wasn't entirely free to just ride off into the sunset with his fiancee, due to his attachment to Mary. This could have been a life-changing moment, but instead of champagne, we got warm diet soda and this long-time viewer was disappointed. But you have to see it and draw your own conclusions.

"All's Well that Ends" is highly recommended to fans of the series.

1.0 out of 5 stars WTF????????? May 25, 2012

I was very disappointed with Season 5. This is a great show and the writers/USA network decided--"ok last season let's just get it over with--wrap things up." As a fan, this season failed to deliver--and only 8 episodes--the series deserved better than that. I have watched it since day one and love the series 1-4 that is. I am soooooo upset with season 5--I don't know what else to say but WTF.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorry to see it go September 5, 2012

I love this show and was very sorry to see it go. I've liked Mary McCormick since I first watched Mystery Alaska (another good solid movie - and I'm not a Russell Crowe fan). I liked all of the regular characters on this show; no misses on casting and character choices. I was glad they ended the show the way they did, it was appropriate and satisfying.

This episodes was one of the best. I love Mary and Marshall and how they talk to each other. They have a husband and wife talk without being married. In this episodes without saying to much. Marshall makes a big mistake and Mary never lets him forget it without even saying a word.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mother of god, Mary... April 21, 2012

Mary learns a few things about herself. Mary rips a few new orafices with classic Mary spectacular venacular. This episode is strong stuff. Just her face in the mirror when she was emotional shows you this woman can act way past the snappy banter.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Sorry to see it go March 27, 2012
This is one of my favorite programs and I'm going to miss it very much. Everyone has grown so much over the past four seasons, in expected and unexpected ways. I'm sorry I won't get to see what happens next with Mary and Co.
