We needed a lamp to go on the desk in our home office. Being huge KU fans and already having several Jayhawk items in the room, I started looking. The cost of this one provided what we needed at a price we could afford while the other lamp styles were significantly higher. It looks great, but as for my personal preference, I wish it was taller to give the light a more widespread effect. Also, the glare is rather strong if you don't position it just so. However, those are just personal preferences. There is nothing at all wrong with the lamp.
