This book was an enjoyable read that gently led me through a world I was unfamiliar with on a couple of levels. Having never been to America's heartland, I found myself embarked on a trip through small towns surrounded by miles and miles of waving grains and filled with simple, hardworking and compassionate people. The other world I entered which was very foreign to me was the fascinating relationship between two men who were complete strangers and who became forever connected physically and emotionally as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Due to the author's way with words and his skillful descriptive style, I felt strongly connected to this charming rural community and these likable
authentic, emotionally vulnerable and compassionate characters. This was a delightful journey well worth taking.

This is a fabulous story! A quick and easy read. The author has created such interesting characters that you immediately find yourself invested in their futures. The novel is also not predictable, which is refreshing and makes you eager to read on and find out what's going to happen next. Once in a while I read a book and am sad when it ends. This is one of those books. I miss the characters!

Recently read "The Middle Of No Where" An easy comfortable read. I enjoyed the characters but loved the honest integrity of the two men. I enjoy seeing dear and long lasting relationships, especially with men.

This little book deserves a "Part 2"! Looking forward to another good read by this author.

The Middle of Nowhere Nice first outing, easy beach read with likeable characters and a beautiful setting. A story about loneliness and friendship and finding meaning in life. Two men's lives intersect at a time when they both need to learn some things that they can only learn from each other. This book leaves one wanting to be a better person by reaching out to others. And wanting to read more from this author.

The Middle of Nowhere is a heartwarming story with likable characters and believable situations. The author's descriptions and dialogue, along with reflections on life and a sense of community in the rural Western setting make for a very enjoyable read. In this day and age, it's refreshing to be a literary witness to the main character's caring and compassionate nature. It has mystery, drama, humor and a little romance. This book has a broad appeal to both men and women of all ages.

This is a great book. The characters are easy to get to know and the action kept this reader reading. I wanted to find out how things turned out... but I didn't want the book to end. The descriptions of the setting made me want to visit out west. Can't wait to see more work by this author.

I've read The Middle of Nowhere and liked it so much that I ordered 2 more copies last week to give as gifts. The writing draws you in so that you really care about Jack and Frank and can imagine Hammond Farm. I absolutely recommend it!
