Aside from the misspelled words and poor grammar, many of the pages wouldn't allow me to zoom in. Furthermore, the book was so short, oversimplified and generally lacking in detail that I'm upset that I spent money for it. Almost all free websites offer more insight than this poorly constructed "book."

Learning left-hand fingering, right-hand picking, notes, and timing might seem overwhelming for a beginner learning the mandolin. The Mighty Mandolin Book makes learning surprisingly easy, starting with simple open strings and picking, then progressing to left-hand fingering with music tabs, and learning chords. All the while following the "beat" with internet music made for the lessons in the book. I was surprised how much faster I could play when there is a "band" behind me -- at least on the computer. I find this a great way to feel the music while I play along, and have fun learning. A must mandolin book for beginners.

Has some worthy picking and cording drills. Many tunes weren't common, so I couldn't pick up on full melody. Very basic instructions and best to be used by an absolute totally new beginner.
