About the Author

Adegboyega, Ajayi earned his doctoral degree in history at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His area of specialty is contemporary African history with particular interest in civil-military relations. Dr. Ajayi has published widely in local and international journals and contributed chapters to various edited works. He is co-author (with Toyin Falola, A. Alao and B.Babawale) of The Military Factor in Nigeria. Dr. Ajayi currently teaches history at the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Nigeria
