Concept/World
I liked the concept of an intragalactic transit system with a stop on Earth. There were tantalising mentions of other worlds, which I'd have liked to know more about.

Story
The story moves along at a good pace, with a believable series of events that leaves Mike having to save the day. Some questions are left unanswered for a sequel. I loved the way that Hare Brained dealt with the Squirm.

Characters
I really liked the alien characters in this story. I like the idea of the "Duos" and the Squirms are so wonderfully creepy they're worthy of a guest spot on Dr Who. Mike Ruggle is a straightforward, likeable "wholesome American boy". The clever rabbit Hare Brained is funny.

Presentation
I only spotted one typo and one formatting glitch, which didn't affect my enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed the illustrations at the start of each chapter, nice to see in a kindle book.

Overall
This is a cheerful, entertaining book, set at an ideal level for middle readers. The science experiment at the end is a great way to extend the story and encourage young readers' interest in science. Highly recommended - I would certainly like a copy of this in my class library.

The Milky Way Metro is an engaging story with an intriguing premise. I was particularly fond of the Lemurs - the Mr. and Mrs. - and who, despite their unusual appearance, proved to be most amiable to the inquisitive Mike. The story is written in a buoyant, fluid style, punctuated with attractive illustrations, which rhyme well with the narrative of the story.
I hope B. D. Bossidy offers us additional glimpses of the Milky Way Metro.

This is a wonderful book that captures the creativity and imaginary world that every child wishes were true. A children's book that adults won't mind reading too. Perfect for children who love space and science, although there is something for everybody in it. Hopefully this book will turn into a series because I can't wait to read more about these characters!

The Milky Way Metro is a fun and engaging read for science and science fiction lovers from grades three or four and up. As a mom with boys who read, this book is perfect. It stirs the imagination, moves the story forward at a good pace, has engaging characters and a fun premise. The science experiment is a bonus--good instructions and great application of scientific principles in the story. I look forward to hearing more from these characters!
