Book Description

Other generations have spent a lot of time and effort in defining the "Mysterious Millennial". In the eyes of the experts, Millennial CEO might seem like a hiring mistake, or a mythical beast that can't exist outside of entrepreneurship. How about a book that breaks through those incorrect assumptions?

Daniel Newman's story is one of adversity and unprecedented accomplishment. The Millennial CEO is a chronicle of observations and life lessons, touching on three critical areas of business: Leadership, Social Savvy, and Operations. Built as a series of stand-alone stories, The Millennial CEO is your firsthand guide to the leadership style that made a difference for Daniel Newman - a style that all leaders (aspirational or actual) would do well to understand and practice. In this book, you will learn:

- How to transcend the (unfair) reputation of Millennials
- How corporations can turn cross-generational differences into competitive advantage
- Leadership lessons from the Big Chair - with a Millennial focus and sensibility

The new origins of leadership are here - the leadership lessons of The Millennial CEO.

5.0 out of 5 stars An insightful book February 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is a must for employee and manager in today's fast paced high tech world. Dan Newman brings his wisdom and personal experiences in clearly defining the new 'toolkit' for anyone wanting to be upwardly mobile in a very competitive collaborative
business climate of today. Each chapter begins with an interesting quote, and Dan clearly defines the necessary skills that need to be cultivated in moving a company forward. He clearly exposes the common dangers of judging the new generation, and realizes that there is so much potential for companies if they hire the best people with skills for their business. For example, linked in is a more productive tool, than just using monster as a commodity based way of finding talent.

I found it a fascinating read, by someone who is a successful businessman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leadership in the New World January 29, 2013
Dan's book is part memoir, part leadership strategy. It's am easier read, with each chapter containing only a few pages of material formatted in lists and bullet points for quick consumption.

I highly recommend this book for young leaders or any leader, for that matter, trying to build influence with his or her employees and customers in the 21st century.

The book is very well-written and has lots of juicy, Tweetable little gems. Great business book. You'll love it!
