This was the text for my Graduate Negotiation class and it definitely covers in depth the subject. It was very interesting. Leigh Thompson is a great scholar as I have read many of here articles on this subject.

Most textbooks I sell when I am done with, but I will be keeping this one because it is so useful (and cheap). I've been able to apply many of the lessons in my daily life whether it is dealing with a tennant or with my own kids. Highly recommend it.

I had to buy this book for school. It does offer some great ideas for negotiation. I would have gave it five stars, but the content seems a little too far in depth. A lot of times I felt it was going to deep into the weeds of the subject.

The Mind And Heart Of The Negotiator is a great book for anyone who wants to learn how to negotiate in any aspect of their lives. This book gives you detailed and real life negotiating examples, while also having multiple exhibits in each chapter to help better understand the negotiating concepts. I really enjoyed reading this book, since it was easy to understand due to the highly organized paragraphs, and conclusions at the end of each chapter. Most important, all the negotiation vocabulary are highlighted in bold, and defined within the paragraph, which made it easier to read without using a separate dictionary. After reading this book I actually felt confident negotiating, since I learned key steps that are needed to have a satisfying and rewarding negotiation.

I used this book in my Masters course. It is excellent. Great techniques, tips and advices. It shows that negotiation is not about win-win situation. It has an interesting approach how to analyze your options and how to get most out of them.
Great book. Enjoy.

I expected a handbook about "How to Do" but was surprised. The book is way more than that. It is very scientific and very deep into the topic with countless references. The chapters are very well organized, covering every single subject. No book for easy reading. You need time and effort to work through it. But it is definitely worth it. When you face a important negotiation, this book is a -Must Read-.
