Format: Paperback
If you ever shouted out, as the Rolling Stones once did, "Who killed the Kennedys?" (and Martin Luther King Jr.) this might be a book you want to read.

While Hunter doesn't answer that question -- will anyone ever? -- he does offer plausible scenarios of how these tragic events that shaped America in the '60s and forever could have come down. The CIA? The Mafia? Etc.?

What Hunter does is weave a page-turning tale of an unlikely case of well-developed characters who risk life and limb to get to the truth.

There's the Catholic priest who is thrust onto center stage of this quest after hearing a man's death-bed revelation. The FBI agent and the Vietnam veteran, among others, who wind up at odds with the aging don and the CIA operative.

They all, whether by choice or circumstance, find themselves in a whirlwind of deadly action that takes them from Chicago to Florida and back.

And always the question remains: who can you trust?

Anyone who lived through the socially turbulent '60s (or whoever read a history book) is likely to find this an entertaining and provocative work of fiction laced with a good dose of history.

The confidentiality of the confessional can lead to a priest taking strange things into their own hands. "The Mission: A Redemption of the Past" tells the story of Father O'Malley, who at the deathbeds of members of his flock, learns of the truth of many conspiracies. Bound by confidence, he takes it upon himself to right these wrongs and finds being on the wrong side of conspiracies is no job for a priest alone. "The Mission" is a unique action and adventure novel, highly recommended.

A wonderful first for this author. The story brings the reader back in time and unfolds the streets of Chicago. I am looking forward to the continuation of this collection. I read it twice and liked even more than first.
