Caroline Ashley hasn't heard from her brother Peter in six months, so she flies to Mexico to locate him.
But on the flight, the turbulence of a storm causes Caroline to receive a head injury. Diego Rivel comes to her aid. He takes her to his grandmother's home. Grandmother knows Diego is in love with Caroline, she just sits back and watches Deigo mess up his love life. Caroline learns Deigo has taken over her brother's horse ranch, after Peter had to sale all his horses. Deigo sends Caroline on a wild goose chase to Peter's former ranch, only to be there before her. He tells her Peter now works for him as a groom. He makes arrangements for Caroline to meet Senora Dominguez and her daughter Isabel. Only Peter meets Isabel and he falls in love with her. Peter brings a friend Dick Weldon, who falls in love with Caroline. Deigo doesn't want Peter to marry Isabel, because he thinks people from different countries can't have a successful marriage. Until he considers his own want to marry Caroline.
