Since the success of Helen Fielding s Bridget Jones Diary, countless authors have offered chick lit knockoffs following the same conventional formula....In the Mrs Club, first time Nigerian author Ekene Onu, drops us into the lives of three trendy Nigerian women living in the United States - Titi, Mina and Amaka each at a different romantic crossroads. Titi (who is single, well, sort of), Mina (who is married) and Amaka (looking for Mr. Perfect) represent every woman and we can all relate to them as they search for love, self acceptance and truth. However Onu s compulsively readable and entertaining book is anything but formulaic. Three women. Infinite choices. Loads of drama. Onu puts a fresh spin on published literature for the Modern Nigerian woman. Mimi Magazine, Jan 2008 --Mimi Magazine
