My biggest criticism of this book is that there are far too many pop songs and not enough of the beautiful original music that Smash is made of! I can forgive that, however, because the rest of the music is really beautiful. I would say this book is for the intermediate bordering advanced pianist. There are some very difficult key signatures. For the advanced pianist, this is a fun one for the collection that I enjoyed playing very much!

Faithful transcriptions of many of the most popular songs from the hit show SMASH. Like many music books these days, however, the binding is very difficult to work with on the piano. You must 'mash' open the book, force it backwards, and hope that it doesn't begin to close while you're playing the piano. But this is not unique to this volume. I wish music publishers would return to the 'staple in the middle' volumes of old.
