Without Mercy-

My only complaint, that it ended too fast. In just a short novella we got everything you would want from a full length novel. This story was pretty intense from the beginning and had you glued to it the whole way through.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Mystic Wolves, January 23, 2012
This review is from: The Mystic Wolves (Kindle Edition)
The Mystic Wolves is the previously released first three novellas of the Mystic Wolves series, Without Mercy, Cherished, and Blood Oath. They have been bundled into one book.

The Mystic Wolves is one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride, told from Darcy's point of view. She is the future mate of

the Mystic Wolves Alpha Mason. Darcy is full spirited and enjoying life hanging out with her friends and pack mates, playing football and enjoying backyard grill parties when one small choice to go to the store changes everything she knows. Attacked and left to make choices that she never imagined she would have to make in her lifetime Darcy fights for her life. She loses something in the fight and begins to doubt all that she is.

Mason is the perfect Alpha. He helps Darcy through a horrible tragedy. He reminds her of all the reasons that he loves her, why he has accepted her as his mate, and that together they can get through this guilt that is affecting both of them. In return Darcy helps him with the stress that he is going through as Alpha, the blaming himself for the attack, the guilt he is experiencing over the consequences of his choices. Darcy and Mason are excellently matched! The love they feel for each other is an almost tangible element to this book.

Readers are swiftly moved into the working of the pack as they discover that the attack was not an isolated event. The Mystic Wolf pack must now unite to find out who would want to harm members of their pack and why. The overall flow of the book moves readers at a fast pace where the pages don't stop flying by.

Stop at this point if you are not interested in reading a potential spoiler. I would have easily given this book a 4 star rating had I not had the following two elements presented to me at the last minute.

The last paragraph of the book is a woman that Mason knows (I'm assuming from his past) showing up on his doorstep. She throws herself into his arms declaring that she is his future mate. This combines two elements I hate in a book. The first is a cliffhanger. The second is a potential triangle. The declaration of I'm your mate may ratchet up the sexual tension, but it really ruins a romance for me. This may just be a personal preference on my part. Also, the fact that Darcy is a virgin and her and Mason is impatiently awaiting their mating ceremony to consummate things has brought the sexual tension up anyhow. It made the other woman seem very random to me.

Without Mercy-

My only complaint, that it ended too fast. In just a short novella we got everything you would want from a full length novel. This story was pretty intense from the beginning and had you glued to it the whole way through.

I really hope Belinda writes more about these wolves. Darcy was a very strong character and I instantly loved her when she put herself before Jasmine. Then there is also Mason, who I am dying to get to know. (So Bel if you read this pretty please write more with these characters.)

This is a perfect book for anyone who loves reading Urban Fantasy.

Cherished-

After reading the first book, I was so excited to read Cherished so I could get more time with Mason! And holy crap, did he blow any expectation I had of him out of the water. He was just so much more then I could have wanted.

Cherished is so full of love and passion. Both Mason and Darcy are trying to deal with the sadness of what happened in the first book. Mason really goes above an beyond to make her feel okay even though he is hurting too. He is just so passionate and caring and you can't help but love him. The sexual tension these two have is on the extreme side! I am marking my calendar until their mating bond.lol.

It was a great book really giving you time to see just how connected and in love these two are. We only got a brief glimpse in the first book. I was glad for the time to fully see these two together because who knows what the next book will hold. And I can not wait to read it!!

Blood Oath-

I love this series!! And I am so happy to have heard the news that book 4 will be a full length novel because my only complaint so far is that these books end to soon!!

Blood Oath brought me to tears and made me laugh out load. The story was intense from the beginning. The story will have you hooked. Mason and Darcy relationship is beautiful they are both funny and loving and every second they are together you will cherish. The funeral was incredibly sad and will have you tearing up. I loved getting to know some new characters and seeing more of the pack together.

I don't to give to much away but these are must reads for any paranormal book lover!! Trust me on this you will love these books!!

I really liked this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series.

You can't end a book with a cliffhanger like that and not write the next book!

Darcy is my kind of female lead, strong, but still developing her strengths.

Mason sounds like such a hunk. All of the male characters seem strong enough to rate their own

books. Darcy's devotion to Mason and their pack is very touching. Now you have a new character saying Mason is hers

and you know Darcy isn't going to stand for that. It's a great combination of action and romance. The Mystic Wolves (Volume 1)

I bought all of the novellas and was ecstatic when it was made into full size book (which added more than the previous novellas.) Mason and Darcy are my favorite Werewolves since Elena and Clay.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great paranormal romance!, February 10, 2012
The Mystic Wolves contains the first 3 novellas in this series - Without Mercy, Cherished, and Blood Oath. I have read and reviewed Without Mercy and Cherished, but hadn't yet read Blood Oath. When I got the chance to review this book, I went ahead and re-read the first 2 parts to refresh my memory. There was some extra story added to the beginning, which I enjoyed. Each part flows together smoothly, so I don't think anyone would notice that they used to be three separate novellas.

The first two stories in this book really are heartbreaking. There are a lot of emotions running wild, such as grief and guilt. While Darcy and Mason are trying to comfort each other, more emotions come into play - like love and passion. Despite the pain that the characters are in, they seem to have moments where they are completely focused on each other, and these moments are when the steaminess occurs.

The last part of this book has some action and suspense moments, involving the wolves and vampires. The ending of the book contains a cliffhanger that is driving me crazy! I won't spoil anything, but I'll just say that I didn't see that coming and I can't wait to read the next installment.

This book is filled with great characters - including a lead female that readers can identify with and the swoon-worthy alpha male that you'll drool over. I think this book is okay for teenage readers. There isn't any sex - Darcy and Mason are waiting until their mating ceremony before taking that next step. That doesn't mean that there isn't any heat though - there definitely are some steamy moments. I really, really hope the next book comes out soon because I'm dying to know what happens next.

This review is from: The Mystic Wolves (Kindle Edition)
I never considered myself much of a werewolf fan since vampires were my favorite paranormal characters. Until I discovered Belinda Borings' Mystic Wolves series. Now my bloodsuckers have to share the throne for the top spot on my list. This novel contains the first three novellas in the series (Without Mercy, Cherished and Blood Oath) which is wonderful since new readers don't have to wait for the next title to be published--they're all contained in one volume. Darcy is my favorite kind of heroine: strong yet vulnerable, mature, headstrong, faithful and loving. Her future mate, Mason, is the epitome of what every male alpha should be with his undeniable power, protective instinct and care. What made me love this series so much is the incredible amount of chemistry, feeling, romance and love shared between this couple. Their story has heart and warmth and I genuinely care for them and whatever plights befall them. Call me a diehard fangirl because I am. Action, intrigue, conflict, and tons of romance sets this series above others I've read. Looking so forward to the next title. (Read my review of Cherished:[...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Look out Swoonsville!, January 22, 2012
This review is from: The Mystic Wolves (Kindle Edition)
I may have been dubbed the Queen of Hearts, but Belinda Boring is the Queen of Swoonsville! I have decided that after reading Mystic Wolves, I must be kissed the way Mason kisses Darcy, or I shall forever be lacking. Seriously. And the sexual tension has me wound so tightly, my husband better watch out! This is a great debut for Belinda, and I look forward to many years of reading her wonderful romances!

I loved this book! The pack has such a "family" feeling to it, they're all like brothers and sisters, except for Mason and Darcy of course :) I LOVED that Mason treats Darcy like she's the only woman in the world. Even when he's hurting beyond belief, Mason is always there for her, and she for him. The world that Belinda has created is one of magic, myth, and mystery- with a pretty epic cliff hanger that leaves you in a panic for the next book! An awesome read!
