Sarah Kavanagh is a living embodiment of The Naked Brand. This 15-year-old from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, recently used an online petition to help raise public awareness that Gatorade contained an ingredient also found in fire retardants. Ms. Kavanagh adds yet another proof statement to The Naked Brand's central message that corporate advertising must now contend with its most formidable competitor ever: the informed public. Tautly written and handsomely executed, The Naked Brand provides a multitude of examples of how the consumer's ability to communicate via social media and other online channels has elevated the customer experience to be the most important component of a brand. The Naked Brand doesn't use agitprop to make its case, but carefully and creatively piles one case history atop another to demonstrate why global corporations can no longer claim excellence but must now demonstrate it. Fun to watch and thought-provoking, The Naked Brand offers a blueprint on how corporations can regain our trust.

If you are used to seeing corporations, the media, and advertisers being exploitative and corrupt, this film will give you a different point of view. It reveals a new paradigm where transparency (being "naked") about your product and your service is the new code. Watched it twice and never got bored.

This is a must-see for anyone involved in branding, marketing, and advertising - or anyone interested in knowing how products are marketed. This documentary offers insights into how certain companies are using transparency and in-house culture to improve communication with consumers while practicing good corporate citizenship. Eye-opening, interesting stuff!

I teach a graduate class on marketing, and I've used this documentary to talk about the impact of social media on branding.

Who is in charge of the brand? This documentary does

Here are comments from my class:

“Traditional advertising is finished” pretty much sums up the future of the advertising industry.

It was amazing to realize: “Clear is the new clever.”

“The Naked Brand” documentary really drives home the stark difference between consumers 50 years ago and consumers today."

The ‘Naked Brand’ did a good job showing how different companies promote their products as well as how promoting products has changed since social media has been introduced to the world.

Overall, the documentary was a great place to start the conversation about social media's role in branding. I would recommend for anyone working in advertising, marketing, social media or generally interested consumers.

I've had the pleasure of watching the film several times now, and I have to say that I am still surprised at how entertaining this movie is. At roughly 57 minutes, it clocks in a little short, but the material is extremely concentrated. Some really great interviews with industry figures and eye-catching motion graphics make this one of my top documentaries of the year.

This movie presents a revolutionary perspective of the advertising and marketing industry and really shows where these industries are going moving into the future. I have now watched it twice during my time in college and it has helped me realize that advertising is an industry that I want to be part of. Check it out! Here is the agency who produced it props.

This documentary is very encouraging for those of us tired of Madison Ave. shenanigans. It was serious but also fun to watch and educational. I hope it finds its way into college curricula devoted to advertising/marketing/business courses. It should be a must for industry execs. as well. Bravo.

Great documentary style piece on the future of advertising and the brands that are leading the revolution. As an advertising professional I must admit this movie is an eye-opener and will change the way you view and experience brands. The movie itself is really well done and will suck you in within the first couple minutes...you've been warned.
