Product Description

Injured in a tragic skydiving accident, a dying man's consciousness is transferred into an experimental supercomputer in a daring bid to preserve his living essence. Now, trapped somewhere between disembodied awareness and a psychedelic world of trans-death reality known as the necrosphere, Justin Garret awakens from biological death to discover he's become the world's first digitized human consciousness... alive, inside a machine.

Justin carries a unique genetic factor that has made him the perfect trial subject for an experimental new technology developed by the brilliant neurophysicist research team of Drs. Luthor and Diana Cain. They have discovered a way to manipulate matter at its quantum level with the use of a specialized radiation-like force called the FIRE Field. This 'Force Infra-quantum Radiation Effect' can literally lock organic molecules into a state of perfect suspension, allowing both their physical properties and the information contained in their neurologic structures to be preserved indefinitely in a process known as Biostasis.

The Cains keep the theoretical underpinnings of biostasis a closely guarded secret, wishing to validate their unorthodox theories of consciousness and the nature of the supernatural before taking it public. This mysterious approach to science brings them into direct conflict with their secret financial benefactors however: a double-crossing hi-tech spy agency which has it's own classified agenda that includes evaluating the intelligence potential of Justin Garret's highly-prized "electro-consciousness."

Under experimental prodding by the husband-wife team of maverick researchers who saved his life, Justin is taught to become a "necronaut" - a trans-dimensional explorer who can travel back and forth at will between the realm of the living and the dead... visiting strange hyper-realistic planes of reality never before imagined. Cautiously at first and then with increasing abandon, Justin begins to experience incredible translations of space and time which draw him back to revisit the very evolution of self-awareness itself. His struggle to come to grips with his bizarre non-corporeal existence is further compounded by the strain of having to deal with his heartbroken and still very human wife Leah, whom he can only communicate with through the screen of a computer.

Torn apart by tragedy, the two lovers are given one last improbable chance to reach across the void and touch each other's souls during a daring attempt to link Justin's electro-conscious matrix directly into his wife's mind. Events move unexpectedly from dramatic to deadly though when the experiment is sabotaged and the necronaut finds himself trapped in a high stakes tug-of-war between his scientific caretakers and the enigmatic government agency looking to turn his half-human, half-digital meme into the ultimate weapon of cyber-espionage.

Deception, betrayal, senseless murder, a horrifying invasion of an innocent man's mind and a final courageous act of friendship set the stage for the shocking double-twist ending of this fast-paced scientific thriller -- one that will leave you reflecting on the nature of reality, and of our own uncertain place within it.

A wildly ambitious plot that intertwines questions about the nature of thought, the afterlife, and life itself, with plenty of well-thoughtout and plausible hi-tech: highly recommended.

Michael Pilinski explores the often asked question of life after death with a thrilling story of adventure, love and sex. The story involves the love of a young married couple and the husband's sky-diving accident. In a desperate attempt to save his life, she allows two scientists to take over. From this point on the story is out of this world. I feel that the characters are strongly developed as is the fast-paced storyline. The author's strength lies in his ability to involve the reader in a complex plot which has a surprising ending. Take an exciting ride in the world beyond. I couldn't put the kindle down.

I agree with Kathleen Kelly's review. You seldom find a book with so many concepts all integrated into one story. The more I read the more engaged I became.

More About the Author

Mike Pilinski is the author of two highly-acclaimed self-help books in the men's dating market -- 'Without Embarrassment' and 'She's Yours For the Taking'. These books address issues of shyness and social awkwardness in men and especially the irrational fear of rejection that blocks many great guys from achieving social and romantic success with women. His books share the insights, solutions and work-arounds that he managed to develop for himself to eliminate the types of frustrations that shy and introverted men too often find themselves dealing with in shameful isolation.

In August of 2011 Mike published his first science fiction novel called 'The Necronaut'. This is the thought-provoking story of a dying man who has his consciousness experimentally transferred into a computer system, where he finds he's become an 'electro-conscious entity' that can travel back and forth through the barrier separating the living from the dead to report on what he discovers.

This book is Mr. Pilinski's first work of pure fiction -- the original manuscript actually having been written in 1992 and then subsequently lost for 20 years until the efforts of a close friend in 2010 produced an unexpected and surprise recovery of the missing pages. Mike proofread the script and applied a finishing polish to his scientific thriller, rewriting about 10-15% of it to modernize the technology for this first release.

He is currently working on early story development for a second science fiction novel, tentatively titled: 'Sixth Awakening at Neptune'.

In 2009 Mike was drawn into the fascinating world of Forex currency trading and has been captivated with the speculative foreign exchange markets ever since. He was equally bewildered as a newbie, however, trying to navigate the landscape of widely scattered bits of information about Forex that seemed to be haphazardly sprinkled everywhere across the net -- from best trading software, to brokers... to what the heck "pips" even were!

'The Forex Lifestyle' is Mr Pilinski's attempt to shine an introductory light on this intriguing subject for all other Forex beginners to take hold of... crip-notes which they can use to quickly determine if speculating in currency trading might be right for them as well.

Mike fancies himself a true Renaissance man who knows just enough about all sorts of things to make him dangerous. He's scuba-dived without certification (not recommended), made his own rockets from various fireworks parts as a kid (not recommended), learned how to fly an airplane, and even got himself out of a tailspin while practicing wing stalls solo (highly recommended, except for the tailspinning thing). Simply getting his pilot's license wasn't good enough though, Mike spent several years building his own fiberglass-composite two-seat experimental airplane in his garage. Fortunately, he ran out of money and had to sell it before he could kill himself during early flight tests.

Against all odds, Mike is still alive today and in complete possession of all his limbs.

Mike Pilinski's dream is to have his ashes sent to the moon one day so that his carbon remains can look back on the homeworld every morning and smile back at us all like the Cheshire Cat.
