I purchased this book for my 5 year old home schooled son who wants to do crafts all the time. Of course Mom doesn't always have the time for another craft so this book has been great. The projects are easy and take very little if any instruction from Mom. The projects also help reinforce things he is learning during school time such as spelling, matching, using scissors, following directions, etc.

The book gives a list of needed items in the front cover such as glue, tape, scissors, etc. Occasionally the book calls for yarn or other items not listed in the front but they are usually items that are easy to find around the house.

I have put together a plastic box with a lid which I added glue sticks, kid scissors, tape, crayons, paper and a few craft books including The Never-Bored Kid Book Ages 4-5, I Can Draw Animals and I Can Draw People (The two latter are by Usborne). I added a few more books but his favorite is the Never-Bored Kid Book. Then the I Can Draw books. He has access to this box and can use it any time.

I put together a similar box as stated above for my niece for her 8th birthday and I included The Never-Bored Kid Book, Ages 7-8.

I will definitely buy the next book in the seres for my son when he is ready. This book has been great.

love the book my son can do a lot of the stuff independently which is nice. There is some stuff that requires my help so it is a nice mix. My son loves to cut and glue so the book is perfect for him. I am actually thinking about ordering the next one up.

This book is the perfect level for my newly-four-year-old daughter. I was afraid it might be too hard for her, but it's not, which might mean it would be too easy for most five-year-olds.

The book contains a variety of activities including mazes, simple dot-to-dots, matching, coloring, drawing and other preschool appropriate activities. It is especially heavy on cutting, folding and gluing projects. The pages for these projects are helpfully single-sided, so you don't need to worry about destroying an activity on the other side. While cutting and gluing are great developmental activities for preschoolers, as a young four-year-old, my daughter needs adult assistance to complete most of these projects; perhaps older preschoolers can do them on their own. Most of the other projects she can do on her own, although on some of the color pages she needs me to tell her what color is called for (although sometimes she doesn't care and just uses her own colors.

My daughter really likes this book and it has kept her busy since she got it Christmas morning. My only complaint (which I acknowledge is my own issue) is that I had planned more for this to be an independent project for times when I'm too busy to be with her, but instead it has become a parent-child project. Of course it's great for parents to spend time with their children, and I've enjoyed working on the crafts with my daughter. But that still doesn't help me during Mommy's busy times.

Highly recommended for fun and skill-building for the preschooler in your life.

We really love this book! My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and asks for this book everyday. She loves picking out projects and doing them herself...coloring, cutting and gluing, everything she loves! She is very proud of the work. I am going to purchase The Never-Bored Kid Book Ages 4-5 number2!

This activity book is a lot of fun! I have two boys and two nieces all between the ages of 3 and 6. When all of the kids are over my house, I make copies of the pages of this book and pass them around for the kids to do. It's different the more traditional preschool books because these are not primarily focused on learning the alphabet or numbers. Their primary focus is fun activities that keep the kids engaged.

I bought this a few months ago and my four year old saw this in our "learning cabinet." He promptly took it out a got to work. This was two days ago. The first day he me madly cutting and pasting for we'll over an hour at the kitchen table, and today he worked for two hours. This is such a great book. It really helps with cutting skills and pasting as well as following instructions. I currently homeschool him for pre-k and this has proven to be a great filler. Sometimes (okay most of the time) I don't have the time to come up with cool crafts. This has everything you need! You child will be so proud of what they make. Thus far, my son has made a teddy bear headband, a red wagon with pasted on wheels and handle with a dog and cat put inside, teddy bears with pasted on clothes, flying rabbits with numbers on them, a leaf with a folded caterpillar pasted on it, ski people with pasted on gear, and so on. This doesn't include the other activities in the book like connect the dot, follow the path, and coloring activities.

I haven't been this satisfied with any product in a long time. I feel like a lot of thought went into making this book. Each page can be ripped out because they're all perforated (oh and they are perforated well, so I haven't had a single page rip on me while I pulled it from the book). On any of the pages that need parts cut out, they leave the other side of the page blank so you don't have to worry about ruining one project so you can do the other. The blank pages are also colored or patterned to match the next page so they still look nice.

Oh and my 4 year old is sitting next to me cutting out a bear from the book as I type this. I will definitely be buying him more of these books, but I think it'll be a while before he finishes this one.
