While I prefer the original with it's coffee table fabulousness, this does the trick and I saved some money. It's my favorite gift for new Americans ... for emerging cooks....

I thought I was ordering the original book just called "Glorious American Food," so I was disappointed to receive the smaller, later edition. I was aware that there were two editions and was trying to clear in my choice, but either I missed something or the text was not clear in describing the book.
