I ordered this book after watching an interview with the author on the Today Show. I like her approach a lot. It's simple and healthy. She explains a lot of the science behind the foods she includes in the meal plans and the other key factors such as breathing/meditation, sleep, exercise, etc. The basis is the same as many other books on eating healthy, but it's presented in a way that makes it easy to implement. The recipes sound good and simple to make.

The food plans and principles are so easy to follow that I finished the book in one day and am ready to start the plan immediately.

This book was a disappointment. I felt that the points covered in this book could have been more effectively and efficiently presented in a few pages, at most. The ideas are useful, but the majority of the book seemed like filler. I would not recommend this book. If the author was not writing this as a profit-driven endeavor, but a health-drive, this information could easily be placed on a blog or other publicly accessible place. However, I do not really see any other way to make money off of essentially repeating 8 diet related ideas, without filling some space with filler and calling it a book. Do a google search on this book and you can find the 8 concepts and read a bit about each individually.

THANK YOU Keri Glassman!!!! I have over 40 diet and exercise books (none of them worked). Many of these books were so boring or hard to follow that I have never got past chapter two. So I was very reluctant to get another. But after seeing you "again" on The Talk, I decided to try. I got my book in the mail a few days ago and read the entire book. So easy to follow, great tips that I started on before I even started the diet plan. Just the breathing alone made me feel wonderful. I found I was even walking taller after doing it. Plus I started the food tips right away since I had most of the items in the house already. I can not say thank you enough, Finally a plan that works. I feel so empowered and so looking forward to the "NEW ME".

I have never been a fan of diet books but read "The New You and Improved Diet.." on the advice of a friend. It speaks to how loosing weight has to become a habit and implementing healthy eating strategies. Additionally, the author touches on other parts of your life(sleeping) and how critical it is to maintain a healthy overall lifestyle. Loosing weight is a process and one must condition the mind that the benefits/results will far outweigh(pun)the sacrifices.

I loved this entire book! The author gives such good advice and has clearly done a ton of research to back herself up. I've read one of her other books, "The O2 Diet" which was excellent as well. This is the healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off. What I like most is that she touches on all important parts in our life that we should work on because they all play such key roles in living a healthy, happy lifestyle.

Glassman offers good advice about foods, exercise, other factors affecting one's "image" and health, and interesting menus. I think I've been through so many different "trendy" eating plans that, at first blush, I thought "this is the one!" Later on, I treated it as just another trendy diet.

A lot of this book contains stuff we already know. The most helpful part of the book that I enjoyed concerned remembering to BREATH and MEDITATE. That really does help in lot of different instances. Otherwise, i really didn't learn anything new, and the diets recommended seemed more like starvations plans. I couldn't imagine eating so little food at one time. Maybe this would work for some people, but I'm a growing girl and I like to eat.

Same old advise, nothing new really not a lot of new food advise or recipies. Read the book it is now sitting on the self when I have a yard sale that is one thing that will go in it.
