When an artist can drop an album this far into their career that rivals any work out there still, you know they are doing what they love and doing it from the heart. This entire album is top quality. Fans of his earlier work with Blackalicious won't be disappointed and neither will any music fan, even if they don't like hip-hop. He continues to set the lyrical bar even higher with smooth flow, meaningful versus, and the style we all love from him. The beats fit the lyrics well and have a great production level. This is my favorite album in any genre of the year already and I don't see many being able to pass it up. Do yourself a favor and check out the whole thing, you'll thank me later. It really is rare to see this quality these days.

This is an impressive album from a lyrical and flow standpoint, beyond that it is merely average. The production is soft and laid back but average at best. None of the beats are really impressive but they are definitely smooth and relaxing. Gift of Gab performs well with an on point delivery and consistent flow but after the amazement of his continuous flow, he rather appears boring. Gift of Gab is rather monotone also and then factor in the beats as it contributes to the boredom. There are a few interesting tracks as Gift of Gab is a little humourous and very directional but this is nothing special.

It's uplifting and gives hope for hip hop. None of the songs are like what you hear on the radio, which is great.

If you've enjoyed Blackalicious/Gift of Gab before, you should be very satisfied with this album. There seems to not be much hype about it, which is too bad, because I've been following Gift for a while now and I really think he has some of his best work on this album.

And if you HAVEN'T heard of Blackalicious or Gift of Gab, then you need to jump on the positive hip hop bandwagon! Very few emcees can claim to spit like this dude!
