From the Author

A dad's ultimate dream for Father's Day.

About the Author

Natasha Wing lives in Colorado and her dad lives in Arizona. Illustrator Amy Wummer lives in Reading, Pennsylvania.

More About the Author

Natasha Wing was born in Connecticut and now lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. After graduating from Arizona State University she then worked in advertising for a number of years. It wasn't until 1991 that she decided to write children's books. Luckily she sold her first book within six months and has been writing children's books and articles ever since. Some of her books have even ended up on bestseller lists, including the wildly popular The Night Before series.

"I'm curious about many things- people, holidays, underdogs, little known historic figures - and translate my excitement for a topic into books for kids to enjoy. Story ideas are popping into my head all the time, so you never know what my next book will be. But that's what's so fun about writing."

The Night Before Father's Day by Natasha Wing is a really sweet Father's Day rhyming story based off the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas'. In this story two young children help their mom plan a special Father's Day surprise. The trio clean out the garage, wash the car, make breakfast in bed for dad and give him a homemade card. Dad is very touched by their efforts and the story ends with a Sunday drive in his sharp looking car.
I really enjoy this author and have used several of her books as a teacher and librarian. It was really fun to read this to my three year old. It made her so excited about Father's Day and we read it at least once a day since we got it. I appreciate how the book shows doing an act of service can be a wonderful gift. This book gave a lot of great ideas that dad will appreciate and not cost any money. This author will help you celebrate every subject from camping to a visit from a tooth fairy. This latest book will sure to be a hit with your family as it was with mine.

My children loved this series when they were little. As a Librarian at an Elementery School I also purchased them for the library. The students looked forward to each holiday story time when I would read them aloud. Some of the older kids would even ask me to read them year after year because they remembered them fondly. They're a great way introduce parody and interest kids in writing their own. Besides the predictive text is just fun! I highly recommend the whole series!

My Review: The Night Before Father's Day by Natasha Wing is a great book for children to read. This book will inspire children to do something nice for their father for Father's Day.

While dad took a ride his wife and two kids raced to the garage to clean it up. They made sure that every cords, hoses and wires were hung on the hooks. The kids cleaned up the cobwebs and scrubbed up oil spills. Then they washed and polished his car. And left him a new to-go coffee cup. The next day they couldn't wait to show their dad their hard work by taking him to the garage, it was the neatest garage that he had ever seen and he couldn't wait to take them all out in his cleaned and polished car for a long Sunday ride.

What a great Father's Day gift any child can give their dad. I highly recommend this book for every child to read before Father's Day.
