Even though this series is 40 years old, it is still very entertaining and well worth watching. I remembered watching some of it years ago, but decided to start from the very beginning and watch all five seasons. I got hooked quickly and enjoyed every episode. Excellent programming, I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.

Once again, what can I say. It was just the best. How the people, residents and help all have their own set of problems and seem to work them out. There were parts that made me so sad, but there is a reason for it all. Can hardly wait to watch it again one of these days. Yes, it was that good

This is my second time around for all 5 seasons. It still is a high quality show with fantastic actors, interesting characters and great viewing. Too bad there are not more TV shows displaying these excellent standards!

Made the mistake of watching the newer version of this first......only to find out that it was cancelled after 2 seasons. So, I went to the original Upstairs Downstairs and LOVED it. Only problem is that you might have to call in sick because you CAN'T seem to stop watching. You will think, "Just one more episode" and before you know it, the sun is up. Beware of the addiction!

This program is terrific. I am now watching Season 5 and have thoroughly enjoyed every season. I have found it by far one of the best series I have ever watched. I also have watched Downton Abbey and found Upstairs, Downstairs, to have much more thought provoking episodes. I wish it would have continued with more seasons.

From the first episode in Season 1 to the final episode in Season 5, Upstairs Downstairs maintained its superior quality. We became so immersed in the show that I find myself wondering what happened to Mr. Hudson and Mrs. Bridges, Edward and Daisy, Lord and Lady Bellamy, Lady Prudence, and all the others as they went off in new directions from 165 Eaton Place. Of course, we learn about Rose Buck (Jean Marsh) in the short-lived revival of the series in 2010, but we only have our imaginations for the rest of them. We watched Downton Abby before going back to watch this thanks to Amazon Prime Instant Video. Downton is a wonderful series, but I would give the edge overall (so far) to Upstairs Downstairs. Those who produce the trashy modern TV dramas should take a lesson from these productions.

Very old production but very well done. Good representation of the times. I loved the progression of womens dress and hair styles throughout the series. It was also a good history lesson for me. At the end of the series I wanted it to go on. I would recommend the series to any one who loves the present day Downtown Abbey.
