The main problem with this item is that the mechanism that keeps the money clip closed is a couple magnets. The magnets are incredibly weak and the clip cannot hold more than four bills. I have no idea why they chose to use magnets. Did the people who made this thing try and use it at any point?

I fumbled around with this thing every time I try and give it use.

$40 for a money clip that doesn't work. I'm convinced that the picture on Amazon is of the clip holding a single $50 bill.

EDIT: I agree with hsbndnwyf's review the box is more useful than the item itself.

This product while super magnetic and sharp looking out of the box, has some defects. The black on the bat has rubbed off after one use and started showing the silver underneath. Not at a problem if the item were a little bit cheaper...

I got this money clip as a gift and was super excited until I tried to use it: it won't hold more than 2 folded bills.
As it was a gift from my young son, I didn't want to dissappoint him by not using it. I went online and bought a pair of extra strong magnets and forcefully replaced the originals to make it work.
Although my solution works, it also makes the inside not look pretty, but after replacing the magnets it can hold up to 8 or 9 folded bills.
my replacement was done with Gorilla Glue and new magnets.
I would never recommend this product to anyone.
