5.0 out of 5 stars What this score can teach you, if you listen. August 14, 2012
Format:MP3 Music
This is a whimsical and clever score. The instrumentation is well-thought-out and superbly crafted for the theme of this film.
Zanelli's music has a folksy grass-roots kind of feel; beautiful melodic phrasing, and that touch of magic that makes this score not only appropriate for a Disney fantasy film, but markedly memorable. Love it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pattijac October 5, 2012

The instrumental music is soft and soothing...it's a joy to listen too. The biggest disappointment of this soundtrack is that it didn't include the last song, "The Gift" by Glen Hansard. That was the reason I bought the cd--expecting to get that song!! The list of songs/tracks should have been available to listen to before buying the cd. Thanks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Musis is uplifting January 3, 2013

I took my 80 year old Mother to see this movie. She hummed all the way through it even though she had never heard the music before.

We both commented how much we liked the musical score.
It was one we both wanted when it was available.

A really feel great movie. It is unusual film but my entire family was able to watch it from babies to seniors.

This was a movie I wanted from the time it came out. No one in my family was interested in seeing it at the movies, so I ordered it. It came in very quickly, packaged well, and was in great condition. Thanks

This was a sweet heart warming movie that the whole family could and should see. The acting was great, and like I said, there was nothing in this movie that was offensive in any way. Also love anything that Jenifer Garner is in.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Odd Life of Timothy Green - Original Score September 2, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
I saw this movie recently and was blown away by the original score. The films transitions fairly quickly from dramatic scenes to humorous ones, and back to terribly sad ones. The tonal shifts are helped along by the music, which seems to be there with us every step of the way. There are two themes in particular that are repeated throughout the film, and they felt like the perfect music to accompany this story.

The composer, Geoff Zanelli, is a very talented guy. A lot of his best work was done in collaboration with Hans Zimmer (ex. Zanelli contributed music to the Pirates of the Caribbean films and the Lone Ranger). But he seems to be taking more solo projects now, and "Timothy Green" is his greatest work to date. I'd recommend you purchase this soundtrack, and keep an eye out for Zanelli's future contributions to film music.

If you're looking for the song that is heard over the end credits: This Gift
