Editorial Reviews

Review

“The Made Harder books will give readers a feel for how scripture actually suggests questions about itself, but more importantly, they remind us that scripture also engages us, calls to us, and not merely the other way around. Faulconer shows that to read scripture through questioning is to make ourselves available for scripture to question us in return.” Source: —Jacob T. Baker, editor of Mormonism at the Crossroads of Philosophy and Theology

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

This is a book of questions, with hardly any answers. Too often in our fast-paced culture, we want the cliff notes or executive summary of a book--and this tendency inhibits our ability to ponder scripture in a meaningful way. Brother Faulconer's carefully formulated questions are thought provoking in a way that is very helpful in overcoming our bad habit of rushing through scripture. Anyone who is interested in truly feasting upon the scripture, will benefit tremendously from this book.
