One wire reaches 21 inches at its peak, another makes a complete 360 degree loop. My daughter first played with the rollercoaster at her pediatrician's office. It is one of the few toys that she never gets tired of. By moving the beads from one end of the colored wires to the other it helps to build the child's hand to eye coordination. It is also a great way for your child to learn different colors, shapes and sizes. As the child gets older it will also be a great toy to teach him/her math and problem solving. The rollercoaster is definitely one of the best developmental toys available today. I highly recommend it.

This toy is captivating. It keeps my child interested for hours. There are so many different ways to play with the beads and wires. It has been a good way to interact one on one with my child. We both like to play with it. It is also very sturdy; my child has stepped on it, tipped it over, tried bending wires, and it still looks good as new.

I got this for my son when he was only 7 months old.. and even then, he was mesmerized by the colorful pieces (beads)and the way they moved on the wires. He is a year now and still, it is his favorite toy. He will sit and tediously move one piece through the maze of wire and then back again. I believe it has shown him patience and determination.. because he often has to start over to get the pieces where he wants them... This was, by far, the best gift he's even received.
