This chair is the one and only chair you will ever need for your child (or yourself). My mum bought the stokke chair 1979 when my little sister was on the way (she'll be a mum herself soon). this chair survived 27 years of constant use. It has never been in storage (since you can move the footrest up for a bigger seat, we used it later as a desk/spare chair). When my son was on the way in 1999 I took it with me to the states. Since then it moved four times and is currently owned by my 2 year old daughter. If I could add a picture I would. I just sanded it down and gave it a new clearcoat and it looks, well, like new.

I even was able to buy a new cushion for it. Buy it, love it and keep it for a long time to come. It is every penny worth it.

I really wanted to try one of these chairs because my son was really miserable in his high chair and it looked so tacky at our table. Finally I bought one with much guilt over the price. I even lied to my husband and told him it was only $70.00!

Well, from day one it was a dream. My miserable high chair son was almost joyful over it and our dining experience changed instantly. I now have a daughter approaching 18 mos. and she's loved it for months now! They have to take turns with it! My husband loved it immediately and eventually I told him how much I'd paid. He didn't flip out at all. At that point he knew it had been worth every penny and is now encouraging me to get the second one as soon as possible. Summary: It is definately an initial investment that will pinch the pockets of many(including myself), but if you can do it, you will never regret it. It truly is worth the money.

We have two of these and LOVE THEM! They ARE expensive, BUT you can pretty much match your kitchen table with the same wood color (we got the cherry color) and the kids sit perfectly at the table. I have wonderful booster seats and the kind that attaches to your table, but I have pretty big kids for their age and it never seemed to be an exact match. With the kinderzeat, I can get their bottoms and their feet to perfectly match where they are supposed to be at the table. I have a 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old who was SUPER messy. I started looking for something like this because the super gross highchair scene was gettin a bit old. This seat was PERFECT. That 1 1/2 year old NEEDS TO BE BELTED in to whatever she's sitting on, and the seatbelt is nice on this...but not too obtrusive. The 3 year old likes to be belted (for security), but is so tidy she doesn't need it, and doesn't ask for it. What a great investment! I think I got them both on ebay (sorry amazon), but it was a little better deal. Anyway, I will be using these at least until the kids are 10 or so, so I am VERY VERY happy with this purchase.

I purchased this chair for my 18 month old daughter because I was frustrated with her highchair. It was sooo hard to clean & it took up so much room in the kitchen. It was the biggest eye soar imaginable! I was looking online at some alternatives, and I came across this chair. I ordered it Monday & it arrived Wednesday. I have to say, it is the best investment ever! First of all, it's beautiful quality & the wood is absolutely gorgeous. It actually looks nice sitting in kitchen -- like a nice piece of furniture. And, my daughter loves it. She already can climb on it herself & sit down. She even buckles the straps herself. It's very safe & very comfortable. I am so, so happy that I purchased this chair & I highly recommend it. I will never buy a highchair again!

After my 1 yr old bionic daughter broke a kitchen chair from my set and refused to sit in a traditional highchair we were stumped. There were four of us and only three chairs, what to do? We just remodeled our kitchen and our kitchen set was a perfect match so instead of a new SET, a new SEAT !

My now almost 2yr old and my almost 4yr old (AND MYSELF I admit) all fight to sit in it. It is comfortable, easy to clean, matches with my kitchen decor (the cherry is beautiful), and is adjustable so we will have it for a while. Be careful if you have wood floors, the bottom tends to scratch a little, but we put those sticky felts on it and solved that problem right away. All in all a sturdy, safe and finally attractive "high" chair, that we intead to use for many years.

PUT THIS ON YOUR REGISTRY! this is a great buy- looks so nice and works wonderfully. I always hated the high chair- it was ugly and I could never get it clean. So much time wasted with it and trying to get it to work right and cleaned well enough- I wish I had this starting at 18 mos. This is also nice for taller kids- My daughter is really tall for her age and the booster seats and other chairs would allow her legs to dangle and she was always restless at the table...

This chair also allows her to get in and out herself.

Expensive but really worth it. Chair is very stable, and looks like "furniture," instead of cheap kid plastic junk. Assembly required, but it is very easy to put together. Our son loves the chair--wish we'd bought it for his older sister years ago!

Like it so much .. that we purchased two .. one for a weekend house. Very stable, height adjustment is great.. no more jumping off the chair from our 3 year old! highly reccommended!

We have been very happy with these chairs. They are really good in helping our kids to sit in a more ergonomic position. We feel this helps them stay at the table longer and help us to have better family meals. The quality of the manufacturing is very good and everything fits - good quality material and design.

I've noticed that most of the reviewers seem to be addressing using this for toddlers, but I am having great success with my infant. We selected this chair (in bright orange) for our baby registry (Thanks, Grandma!), and I have just set it up because I'm starting our baby on solid foods. We use the baby rail and the cushions and harness, and it works beautifully! She seems to be quite comfortable, and fits perfectly on the smallest suggested settings for the seat and foot support. The baby rail fits right up under the tabletop, and with a placemat in front of her, there has been very little mess to clean up (so far, but then I'm the one doing the feeding right now). It's so easy to push her away from the table when she's done eating rather than fighting with a tray, and I love having her sitting right at the table with us during meals. I'm very happy with the chair, and even more pleased that I don't have to use one of those ugly plastic things. The tripp-trapp is also lightweight enough that I can easily take her from the dining room into the kitchen where she can watch me while I work. The only thing I would change would be that the harness does have a little difficulty staying up on her shoulders, so I'm going to make a little cincher to keep it in place between her shoulder blades. I bet it fits better on larger children.
