He is a month old and sleeping through the night well ~7 hours.

Perfect size, the woombie definitely helps our baby who easily breaks a blanket swaddle sleep longer through the night and during her daytime naps as well.

One of the sleep sacks I have is too stretchy so he was able to move around too much and get his hands free.

Here's why you need a Woombie:
1. It's parent-proof. And grandma-proof. And baby-sitter proof. All it's got is a zipper and a snap. You can't screw it up at 2 am.
2. It's baby-proof. Your baby will squirm away and cannot get out of the Woombie. She cannot get it up over her head, end with it wrapped around her neck or get it down around her waist.
3. It's superior to similar products on the market. We stumbled across the Woombie when looking to purchase a second SwaddlePod (we received a used one in a box of clothes given to us by my cousin). The SwaddlePod is much looser and flimsier. Yes, the Woombie costs twice as much as the SwaddlePod but you get what you pay for. It is also superior to the organic Ergo Cocoon Baby Swaddle. We bought one of those thinking that we would use it when she grew out of her Woombie. Wrong. It, like the SwaddlePod, is basically a tube that is closed at one end and has a zipper. It allows way too much movement. It's basically like a little bit tighter version of a sleep sack. The Woombie is form-fitting and made of strong but stretchy fabric. It also has a little flap that sits under the zipper to protect little fingers, unlike the other two brands.
4. Your baby can move around enough but not too much. She can move her feet and legs, arch her back, put her hands up by her chin, put her hands down by her sides, whatever she wants. The Woombie allows just the right amount of freedom of movement.
5. Your baby can chew on her hands. I was scared that the Woombie was being defeated the day I saw fingers poking out of the top. Wrong I was. I see her little fingers every night yet I've never seen her wrists.

I was initially a Woombie doubter. We had used and liked another brand of swaddler (one that employs velcro to fix the swaddle), and we thought, "Why reinvent the wheel?" I worried that the baby would be able to move her arms around inside the Woombie and wake herself up. Plus, I didn't see the point in paying more for the Woombie when there were cheaper alternatives.

When our second daughter was born, someone gave us a Woombie as a gift. We didn't use it very much at first, but when the baby started outgrowing the other brand (even the large size, and she's not even a big baby!) at 3 months, we thought the Woombie might be worth a shot. I always felt that my first daughter would have slept better through infanthood if we had been able to swaddle her longer.

To my surprise, the Woombie turned out to be awesome! It's really comfortable and my daughter has slept really well in it. It's so much easier to use than other brands, and I love the lightweight knit fabric. At 5 months we finally switched to the larger size and were excited to see that the design has changed slightly. There are now two zippers, which allow us to just unzip the bottom for diaper changes. This was a great addition.

Hint: we did notice some stretching and straining in our newborn Woombie. It developed a hole near the zipper and, at the time we retired it, was starting to seem weak around the seams. We probably should have sized up a little bit sooner than we did. Our girl still met the weight requirements for the newborn one but she is longer than most babies.

I would recommend this product to other parents. Even though it costs more than other swaddlers, there is added value that makes it worth the money.

this is the absolute best product ever for a new borne up to 2.5 months so far. We would not be getting any sleep without it.

I got this for my 1-month old as I had been using the Halo Sleep Sacks. One of the sleep sacks I have is too stretchy so he was able to move around too much and get his hands free. I will probably use those as a transition from the woombie swaddler when he's 2 or 3 months. The woombie is better because baby's hands can be (kind of) up by his face instead of straight down at his sides. He seems to like that position much more and has slept longer stretches lately. He's now 6 weeks old. Also, for anyone who wants a cheaper version of the woombie, I bought both the woombie and the swaddlepod to see which one was better. The swaddlepod is MUCH more stretchy. I haven't even used it yet because it seems like he'd be too wiggly in it. Possibly, it can also be used as a transition from the tighter swaddle, but definitely spend the money on the woombie if you want a quality product.

LOVE this swaddler! So easy to use. Doesn't leave a bunch of fabric up around baby's face like other swaddlers.
Don't put it in the drier though. I does shrink even on low setting.

Whether or not this product works for you will depend on you and your babies preferences for swaddling. The quality of the Woombie itself is excellent. I have no complaints there at all. However, even though my ordered arrived very quickly, by the time it came my daughter had already developed a preference for being swaddled with her arms up. The Woombie is designed for arms-down swaddling. As a result, my baby got a little freaked out when I tried to put her in it. And frankly, it made me a little anxious too! If your baby diesnt mind having their arms down, and likes a very tight swaddle, then I think you'll be very happy with his purchase.
