More About the Author

I'm a husband, a son, a dad, a grandpa, a friend, a brother, a preacher and a Charter Member of The Prophets MC.

Writing The Outlaw Preacher series was my attempt to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in which I live. There are many methods with which to spread the gospel and all of us are called to "Tell people about me" in our respective lives. This was my way.

The Outlaw Preacher- "The Miracle" is the sequel to The Outlaw Preacher because "Nine Ball" has just begun his ministry and there are many people yet to reach. The enemy will never let him rest but as you know, he's up to the task.

Now, the third and perhaps final installment in The Outlaw Preacher series is, "Redemption" and it proves to be the craziest Outlaw adventure yet.

I loved this book. I met John at an event last year, actually buying some apparel from him. He mentioned the book, gave me a flyer and I meant to look up the book. I completely forgot about it and about 6 months later found the card. I downloaded a sample of the book and was intrigued. Some authors are overly descriptive of things and take their time with getting to the point. Not John Andrews, he writes very clear and has created a believable story that can and possibly has occurred in today's day and age.

I am a Christian, so I have my own perspective on things and love the gentle straightforward approach his main character James takes with sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. This book is a great way to learn about Jesus, at your own pace, in a safe way. It is explained very simply without losing the reader which so often can happen.

Thank you John for sharing your gift of writing, not only for entertainment but sharing God's love for us as well.

PS - there is a 2nd book in this series, "The Miracle", which continues James' story and how he deals with the outlaws from his former motorcycle club. It's a great installment in the story and I'm looking forward to book #3.

A man, once an outlaw, now a preacher, doing his best to live in God's word. James definitely reflects our daily struggles to give up our old lives before knowing Jesus and to learn to live in His word. We are still human and we will all be sinners, but as Christians we try daily to live up to God's teachings, even knowing that we never can or will be perfect until we attain eternal life. This book is very well written and makes some difficult concepts easier to understand. It made me cry a few times, so I know there is truth in this book. I am eagerly awaiting my paperback copy of Outlaw Preacher - The Miracle so I can read the next installment in James' developing Christian life. I am looking forward to seeing whose lives he touches next.

Started it last night and finished it this afternoon. Ready for the next one. It didnt take long to get caught up in the story. This is a story that will have you riding along with the Outlaw Preacher long after you close the book.

It was very hard to rate this book. It had a great story line: very bad guy learns to know Jesus in Prison and comes out called to preach. There are a lot of encouraging plot points where God comes through and provides for the hero. It should be a great book. But is it not; it is not really very good at all. And that makes me sad. The characters are flat. We don't see much character growth. Our hero changed a lot before the book began and people do make confessions of faith. But then they leave the story. There is some insight into the internal struggles of the main character. There is a lot of preaching and exposition. In a great book you almost feel like you are witnessing the story as it unfolds. In many places this books reads like a newspaper report with better descriptions.

The author has potential. His story line is very compelling. But the execution was poor. Hopefully he will improve over time.

This book was a great read for Christians, non-Christians, and those seeking Christ.
I laughed, cried, was inspired. Remembered that God does indeed use broken vessels to do his will.
The book is less "preachy" than I've been in the last 3 sentences, but it's a powerful testimony all the same.
May be the best 3 bucks you spend on a book this year.

An outlaw biker meets the Lord in prison for real. This is no namby-pamby religious nauseating gushiness with trite truisms slithering off the page and onto the floor. This outlaw becomes the real deal, putting his flesh down, and allowing the Lord to amaze him with His solutions. It is an exciting, thrilling book. The reality of it is inescapable.

I am a pastor to biker's and was at first skeptical of this book when it was recommended to me. Most Christian books of this nature are way too cheesey. John Andrews does a good job, however, of holding the readers attention while also inserting a gospel message.
