I don't want to give anything away here, because so much of the impact of this doc lies in its surprises. Suffice to say that you will rethink whatever you know, or think you know, about metal music and the people who create it. Tragedy and adversity shines a bright light on a persons character, and the band members of Lamb of God, particularly singer Randy Blythe, show their character to be of the highest order. Ultimately, a docs strength lies in its ability to shift your perceptions and ATPB delivers.

Excellent Behind the scenes documentary of one of the best bands in Metal today. Even if your not into metal you can watch this and come away touched by the genuine emotions that this documentary taps on.

I enjoy documentaries, ones about music especially. As The Palaces Burn is an excellent look at the band Lamb of God beginning by following them on tour and ending with the trial of their lead singer for manslaughter...in the Czech republic. This is not trial by jury...rather his fate lies in the hands of three judges and a court case that unfolds in front of him through translators. I did not go into this as a fan of Lamb of God but this is not a movie reserved only for their fans. The story that the band went through, primarily Randy Blythe's, is emotional, well produced, and worth the watch. This would be a good movie if it were a piece of fiction. It's better because it's real. If you are into great documentaries, add this one to your list pronto.

Great documentary showing the true universal love for heavy metal music around the world. I am a fan of Lamb of God, but even if you are not familiar with their music you can appreciate this documentary. Obviously the main focus of this after the first half is the trial of lead singer Randy Blythe in the Czech republic, and how he and the band dealt with this unfortunate event of a fan dying after one of their shows there. Really well done documentary and made me feel both joy and sorrow in terms of emotion watching this......great stuff!

This movie was excellent I thought. Not just because I'm a diehard Lamb of God fan but because this film really helps describe the impact heavy metal has on it's fans. It shows just how much passion and emotions this genre of music brings out in a person. I have a lot more respect for the guys in the band after seeing this movie. Their not rich at all. They do this for the music and their fans.

Absolutely eye-opening and shocking. I haven't been a close follower of the situation that faced the band, and after watching this: I feel terrible for not pledging my support to Lamb of God during their time of need.

This is a glimpse into the mind of a man who has turned himself around and should be an icon to people all over the world. MUST WATCH!

if your a fan of the band, this is a must see! The band intentionally started out making a documentary that was to be based on the fans around the world and then got turned around into the fight for Randy's freedom. It's an emotional film on so many levels

Loved this "Rockumentary". This document gave an inside look for fans as lamb of god was obtaining success from their newest release that became suddenly halted due to Randy Blythe's detainment in Prague. A must watch for any lamb of god fan.
