Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

With 38 songs and a three-hour running time, this DVD will leave no Paul Brady fan unsatisfied, while also providing newcomers with a more-than-adequate introduction to the music of this veteran, versatile Irish singer-songwriter. The latter group is likely to be substantial; though he's been around since the '60s, Brady is probably best known in America not for his own recordings but via the many artists who have covered his songs, including Bonnie Raitt (who has recorded several, most notably "Luck of the Draw"), Tina Turner, Phil Collins, David Crosby, and others. Previously broadcast on Irish TV and recorded in a Dublin house in '02, the program finds Brady performing both solo and with a band. The bulk of the material comes from his own extensive (and mostly excellent) catalog, but there's also plenty of traditional material, a couple of covers, and interview segments with Brady and others. --Sam Graham

5.0 out of 5 stars An intimate session with Paul Brady March 11, 2005
Format:DVD
Got this today and I am very pleased....feel like you are at the recording studio, part of an impromptu session with Paul Brady and friends. For all those "is a fan", "was a fan " types who did not like his many musical changes, this DVD also provides an insight into Paul Brady the person, and the reasons for some of the decisions he has taken throughout his music career. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in the Music of Ireland throughout the 70s & 80s

5.0 out of 5 stars Brady at his best! July 25, 2004
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This dvd is highly recommended and is the ultimate for the Brady fan. The band segments are great the sound polished and most of the songs are given a reworking unlike most artists who

try to replicate their recorded work to the letter.

this dvd will leave you inspired musically.
