About the Author

God is the author of these works. This rendition is the second of a in this collection of works that attempts to give us a look at ourselves on a personal level as well as a community. Hopefully these writings are like a breath of fresh air in the realm of knowledge and understanding. This book is dedicated to God and the ancestors also to the brothers and sisters who had aspirations to share their thoughts and ideas with the world but were unable to. I pray that some of these words reflect the very essence of the thought and feelings that we as individuals wish to express. The writer, Earl Francis who has been referred to as " The Last Poet" is a graduate of Eastern High School in Washington, D.C., the place where the writing began. With great appreciation to God and the teachers who equipped me with the incentive and conviction to excel, I personal express these words of thanks and gratitude. Special thanks to my mother and siblings and extended family for their continued assistance in my endeavors. Thanks to Xlibris Corp. and it's staff for their assistance in this effort also to April King, Kim DeLaguil and Fayeth Brown of the Southeast branch of the public library in Washington, D.C. for their ongoing assistance.
