Editorial Reviews

Review

Praise for Wanted Perfect Pet: "simple but humorous line drawings... a hoot." Sunday Times A sweet story with a reassuring conclusion. Peters Gazette A really lovely story... the illustrations are as wonderful as ever. Bookbag The underlying message of loyalty, novelty and love is one that every child and parent will recognise. Daily Mail Full of simple, expressive illustrations. Primary Times This sequel is just as endearing. Charming illustrations. Angels & Urchins This story of constancy and love has huge resonance. Books For Keeps Roberton has created a perfect picture book: elegant to behold, with a heartening story about feelings common to children, worthwhile themes, and the capacity to sustain plenty of discussion. School Librarian --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Nice hardcover book, with cute & colorful illustrations! My Grandson just turned 4, and this is perfect for him -- Henry and his duck named Spot! We've read it together twice now, and I'm sure this Grandma will be reading it again a time or two in the future....

My 2 1/2 year old loves this story. He is at the stage when he is really connecting with the characters, especially when they're sad. So, he likes Daisy Gets a Ball and he likes this story because there are some sad parts and then happy parts. This is one of the books he often wants to take upstairs to read at bedtime even though we have many books upstairs already. I'm thinking of getting the first book as well.
