Editorial Reviews

Review

I am so addicted to this series that I am thankful that I had part 4 on hand so that I could keep right on reading because I am not sure what I would have done not knowing what what was going to happen.

This is the best book in the series and I gave the other three five stars so what am I to give this one?

I am so glad that Wanda Brunstetter decided to do this series and I hope that she does more like this! Definitely another 5 star book!
(Tammy Graham Love 3 My Dogs 2013-04-04)

I really enjoyed The Pieces of Summer! The ending of this book was really good as it left me ready for the next one in the series. I liked the different elements Wanda mixed into the story with Jonah and Meredith’s sister. I also enjoyed finally getting an update on Eddie. I feel this was a long time coming and it was nice to finally hear more about him.

I enjoyed this read. It was a quick read for me, not that the book is that long, but I was engaged in the story. I am really looking forward to the next installment in the series A Revelation in Autumn.
(Zac Weikal Zac's Blog 2013-04-24)

Wow this ends with the best cliffhanger of all 4 parts of the series. Still keeps you wanting more.
If I was not so tired I would stay up to read part 5. Still love the story, the characters and I want to know how it all ends now.

Ms. Brunstetter is a talented author and she knows how to create characters that her readers easily fall in love with while they’re reading along. I’m eager to read the next installment, but I’m also saddened because I know that this book is quickly coming to an end soon. I highly recommend this fourth installment and I can’t wait to continue on my journey with Meredith, Eddie and the rest of the characters in this novel.

I just love this author and I am enthralled with this series. Can't wait to read the next one!
(Janis Rodgers Blogspot.com 2013-06-14)

A very quick read that entices the reader for more.
(Patsy Higgason NetGalley 2013-06-27)

I’m enjoying The Discovery series by Wanda Brunstetter. The family atmosphere is intriguing and the tight-knit quality of the story is nice. The writing blends well from one scene to the next and I had to know what would happen next.
(Kim Miller Long and Short Reviews 2013-09-16)

Wanda really does a great job of representing the Amish and I'm sure they love her for the way she portrays their way of life and customs to others. It's no wonder why Wanda is one of my very favorite Amish authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Series May 4, 2013
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I have to say that I have really enjoyed Wanda's new series The Discovery, The latest book The pieces of Summer which is book 4 left me hanging wanting more. I want Luke to come home to Meredith so bad. Does he? You will have to read the series to find out.
Wanda knew just when to end each of these short books. She did it in such away that you are left wanting more so bad.
I have to say that I highly recommend this series.
This is a five star book!
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Pieces of Summer by Wanda E. Brunstetter April 24, 2013
By Zac
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The Pieces of Summer by Wanda E. Brunstetter is book 4 in The Discovery Sega. This installment moved the story along as the reader finds out more about Eddie. Jonah has been coming around more to help Meredith, but is that a problem? The due date for Meredith's baby is approaching-when will she have the baby?

I really enjoyed The Pieces of Summer! The ending of this book was really good as it left me ready for the next one in the series. I liked the different elements Wanda mixed into the story with Jonah and Meredith's sister. I also enjoyed finally getting an update on Eddie. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions are my own.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too short May 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This series is not what I would call typical of Brunstetter's books. The entire series should have been one book. The books are too short dealing with only a part of the story thereby making the cost of the books too expensive for what they are worth

Hated that there was no finish to this part. Have never read a series where there was not an ending to each book. Awful. You are forced to buy next book in series!

More About the Author

Wanda Brunstetter is an award-winning romance novelist who has led millions of readers to lose their heart in the Amish life. She is the author of over 60 books with more than 7 million copies sold. Many of her books have landed on the top bestseller lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, Publisher's Weekly, CBA, ECPA, and CBD. Wanda is considered one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre, and her work has been covered by national publications, including Time Magazine and USA Today.

Wanda's fascination with the Amish culture developed when she met her husband, Richard, who grew up in a Mennonite church, and whose family has a Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Meeting her new Mennonite sister-in-laws caused Wanda to yearn for the simpler life. In their travels, she and her husband have become close friends with many Amish people across America. Wanda's desire to explore their culture increased when she discovered that her great-great grandparents were part of the Anabaptist faith.

All of Wanda's novels are based on personal research intended to accurately portray the Amish way of life. Many of her books are well-read and trusted by the Amish, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the people and their customs.

Wanda's primary attraction to the Amish is their desire to live a devout Christian life that strives to honor God, work hard, and maintain close family ties. Whenever she visits her Amish friends, Wanda finds herself drawn to their peaceful lifestyle, sincerity, and close family ties, which is in stark contrast to the chaos and busyness that plagues so many modern "Englishers." Time and time again, Wanda loses her heart in the Amish life, and she hopes her readers will, too. For more information, visit: www.WandaBrunstetter.com
