My teenage daughter initially found this in a bookstore and wanted to buy it, but I couldn't see spending $10 on a book with 213 words. Then I read the 213 words and promptly proceeded to the checkout to pay $10 for them. A week later I bought a dozen copies off amazon so my husband and I could discuss it in our book group. I kept our copy near the dining room table, and when the kids would start complaining at dinner about people or their day I would read them "The Pig of Happiness." The message is simple and simply sensational. Now that the book is only $4, I will probably buy a case of them.

I like this book because it can change the reader's life by teaching people to make the best of things. I like this book also because the happy pig spreads his happiness with others. I think all ages would like this book so it spreads happiness to you like it did to me.

This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I've given it as a gift many times and read it to everyone of my friends. I must have book to 'remind us that we all have so much to be happy about'.

I thought it was delightful and inspiring. As a teacher I will use this little book as a talking point about recognizing the beauty and wonder of being different.

OK, this is a simple yet amusing & enjoyable book about the importance of kindness & how it brings about happiness. I bought it for my young son who adores pigs. His sister loved it so much, I brought it in when I was a mystery reader for her 2nd grade class. All the boys & girls adored it & said it was their favorite of all the books I read that day (the other books were longer, more involved & had received awards). It is a very short, simple story with a great life lesson. Take it for that & it will be a favorite of everyone you read it to.
